In the last seven months I have gone from 10 million to 20 billion isk through various market strategies. it is becoming increasingly difficult to trade this total sum of money, although i currently average about a 1% return per day(200 million, which is more accurately about 4% of 5 billion traded per day). Any suggestions on how to put this cash to work? Thanks! |

Depends what you want to do with the iskies. If your really wanting to do something with that kind of cash and dont have the habit of pvping. Getting into POS work with BPO's and massive research job to start building capitals is always profitable. Especially If you know where to buy for less and have the ability to move the goods to your area for such jobs.
If you want to get a lot better explaination, or help on the topic, give me a in game mail. If your looking for partnership or help in running all this, I can help you out as Ive done a lot of the brain storming, but dont have the isk to back me in getting it all started.

Just to let you know I am not interested in private loans unless they can be fully collateralized, which would probably be a rare occurence. I'm looking for things more like what yoyort suggested, but I'm interested in all sorts of ideas as long as they are mostly secure. I may need to just do what I'm doing until I get 2-3x what I have now, but there will come a point soon when I will need to diversify my investments. Thanks guys!

Help me buy my main back? Kicking myself for having sold him now. I know you probably could care less, but here's the story: Back in February I PCS'd (moved) to Yuma and from there went to Al Asad. Thinking I wouldn't be coming back for a long while and (at the time) being pretty sick of the environment and politics in Eve, I sold my main and my best alt (63m and 54m sp respectively). Well, now that I'm back in the states, I hear about this new "Empyrean Age", decided to have a look around, liked what I saw, and I reactivated my old account. I would buy my old toons back, but I don't have the isk at the moment and with the economy the way it is, I don't have the RL capital to buy that many GTCs to sell for isk to buy back my toons.
So I don't expect anything of anyone in the way of donations, but I would offer my heartfelt gratitude and promise to repay.

Must agree - motherships are the new BS. So ur plan is as follows ....
Step one: Buy a Nyx BPO (I know someone who has one for sale at ME2) ((seriously))
Step two : Save up ANOTHER 20bil to build one
That should keep you going for a while

Large POS + BPOS + Research + sell BPCS = profit.
Or invest in a carrier, that'll take about 2 billion. Heck you should build your own. Start a corporation, join one out in 0.0 rent space and mine/moon mine all the stuff you need for your own conglomerate of capital ship construction.

This really should go into the Market Discussions forum. But if you're only trading 5B out of 20, 15 is idle.
As the poster right above me said: get some BPOs. I suggest capship component BPOs, they require the least amount of screwing with. You can search the jita cap ship component market to see what's in short supply and start there. Test the waters with a bil or two.
Research and copy in an NPC lab. Yeah, it's slower, but doesn't soak up your time to futz with a POS and research alts. You can continue trading and turn the copying of researched BPOs into a passive income stream.
Buying datacore alts for spare account slots is another low impact possibility.
BTW, congrats on making it to 20B trading. I flamed out at around 7B.

In all honesty, the market is not exactly flooded with opportunities at the moment. If it were we'd have a lot more IPO's.
That said, if you're looking for someone to manage your funds for you I'd be willing to take on 6B. It would go into highly secure investments, only be touched by me and possibly EBANK employees and would be completely insured by my word and assets. I being the sole operator of Kwint Industries which holds 30B in public capital, the shares of which are trading well above face-value which at least implies a high degree of public trust.
The downside is that for that security I'm only willing to offer a 9% bond, to be paid every 90 days. You can withdraw any time for any reason with no prior notice but you will only receive half of the accrued interest.

Hmm, this is the second thread where you have mentioned scam in regards to someone we trust almost completely. Since you are obviously new I guess we can cut you a break but you might really want to take a seat and watch for a little bit so you don't continue to look like an idiot.

You have 20 bil, and only use 5 for trading ? Here's an offer for you: for 15 bil i'll sell you a researched Aeon Mothership BPO. If you buy them in NPC stores you'll pay 16 billion and get a me:0 bpo, i'll sell you a me:1 BPO for a billion below NPC price, should be a good deal for you.
What can you do with it ? Make a copy each 3 months (or less with skills and implant) at a public outpost and sell it for 300-400 million. That's free isk for doing nothing, taking no risk, you can copy them in an private pos for even faster copying or at public stations, that currently have few days waiting time in highsec and 0 waiting time in lowsec. Contact me in game if interested.

1.2 billion best case annual return on a 15B investment. Assuming the amount of Amarr mom pilots grows fast enough to soak up the supply. With ghost training nerf that's definitely not a given.
While I can see why you'd want to ditch your BPO at a large loss (ouch! taking research into account that's what, about 1.3B down the drain? I do feel bad for you) I can think of lots of other BPOs which yield a considerably higher income at much lower risk (diversification, nerf resistence, larger market).

The bpcs currently go for above 400mil on public contracts, and 3 months is the copy time in a public pos, without skills or implant. The BPO should create around 1.5bil/year at least. With me:1 you save around 400 million in minerals compared to a me:0, so it's like giving away me:0 copies for free, thats why i don't think that the prices for the bpcs will fall too much in the long run.
Of course, 10% per year isn't a very high return, but it's safe and it requires no efforts. You can invest into some Ipos or banks which promise more return aswell, but with the BPO you don't have any risk of being scammed, you don't have to trust anyone and hope that he returns your savings, it's your property and it remains it's value. The advantage over other BPOs is that you only have to sell a print every 10-12 weeks, not much work compared to some fast copy bpos. Put it in the lab and forget about it for weeks, that comfort is worth something. At the end it's only an offer, i think it's not a bad one, OP can take it or leave it.

If you are making 1% per day... That's 30% per month.
You wont find anywhere near as much with anyone at this forum.
