There's kind of a small running joke that the F&ID is the place where ideas go to die. Perhaps it'd be nice to see that some of the really good ideas make it to C.C.P. If you look at the first page, the only dev post, with a very rare exception, are the stickies they made for rules and what nots. I'm not saying they have to post in every thread, but it'd be nice to see them in really good ideas. The F&ID page is, as of right now, the red headed bastard child of the forums. It'd be good to know that at least somebody is listening. Sometimes, the best thing to do is have a random moment of compassion. |

It'd be good to know that at least somebody is listening. 95% of all ideas posted there are terrible, truly awful. If an idea in F&I receives a lot of support, it is normally reposted in the Assembly Hall, where the CSM occasionally have a look. But as mittens said at fanfest, the whole F&I + Assembly Hall model doesnt work, and needs overhauling. |

Good job he's not on the CSM then as it would be interesting to see the CSM try to write their own constitution to remove any offical dialouge with CCP regarding ideas. A pure lobbyist approach would simply take it to a private arena with no accountability or an understanding of a shared view of interests. It would if anything not be helpfull to have limited rhetoric on issues either being presented.
Personally the idea being bounced around pre-fanfest and just after about players having a open dialouge with developers on their blogs for input into features as being a welcome change. This was also seen to be encouraged due to the view where players were let down wtih communication with respect to incarnagate. I know that certain CSM members who were elected were championing more rhetoric with CCP in this way as a result. And for me I would welcome more blue labels on the forum.
I imagine CCP are waiting for current affairs to die down and "normal" buisness resumed somewhat, whilst also given some chance for CSM7 to "glue". That and of course the obvious challenge of taking the cacophony of player suggestions and ideas from fanfest and looking at the bigger picture of those details to review stratergy of how it all interelates and how to translate this well for player interest and future discussion. I spend some time there, but it is really hard. Hard because so many of the ideas are, umm the thesaurus suggests "fertalizer" as a synonym.
I am not suggesting it is all bad by any means, but hard to read because you never know whether you are going to read a brilliant well thought out and fully fleshed post or dome three month old players idea of how to make Eve more peaceful CCP has rededicated themselves to improving Eve and are by and large doing a terrific job at it. My personal faith in them is largely restored. I think the coming changes will revitalize Eve and bring joy to the masses. |

Yeah but there are plenty of the same in the jita speaks and assembly hall area. Sometimes, the best thing to do is have a random moment of compassion. |
