Heya, it's been some time since I did any manufacturing and I had a quick question. I know standing affects how much a manufacturing job costs per hour, but does it affect anything else?
Thank you. __________________________________________________

Mineral taxes when you refine, normally 5%, go down to 0 if you're above 6.something with the station's owner.

Thank you and it doesn't have anything to do with manufacturing waste besides the skill of course. __________________________________________________

I don't think so. I think manufacturing waste is only affected by your Production Efficiency skill, and by the ME level of the blueprint that you're manufacturing from.

Standings only affect refine fees and broker fees. Manufacture cost is not affected.

That's true.
Looking further, though - there are two skills you can trainthat come in handy once you've manufactured your items, and are going to sell them on the market:
broker Relations - reduces broker fees up to 50% at level 5 - useful for Market brokers, or if you're manufacturing/selling in a station where your reputation isn't above 6.7 or so;
and Accounting, which reduces the tax you pay when stuff sell in the market.
Not reputation-related, true - can be helpfum though as well tot he aspiring industrialist :)

With regard to broker fees, your faction and corp standing is used and there isn't a magical cut-off point like for manufacturing.
If you've got poor standings, then Broker Relations is much more important as its reduction is done on the amount after accounting for the two standings. Connections and Diplomacy will help reduces costs too.

So far I've found the "magical cutoff" to be a corp relation of 6.7 - that is, enter a station belonging to a corp I have that status with that i've not been to before, I don't get charged to use the facilities there. Works for me - YMMV :)
Only reason I brought those up is that they are part of the manufacturing process - on the output end, where product is sold. If you're gonna be a Industrialist, ys gotta consider all the ways to cut costs you can, after all :)

Are you still talking about broker fees, as that's what my post was about.
6.67 will reduce refining losses from the station owner to zero and (supposedly) have an effect on manufacturing costs.
6.67 standing to the corp will have very little effect if your faction standing is negative. The lowest theoretical broker fee is 0.1875% and the lowest I've seen is 0.23% with a faction standing of 7.7 and corp standing of 9.9.
If you're wondering about the best way to squeeze those last few percentage points out of your profit margin, then training up Accounting and mission running is the way to go. Broker fees are based off unmodified standings - Connections/Diplomacy doesn't count.
