Just an idea, when in a private conversation, when they leave, you should get a timestamped message saying when they have left.
It's very easy not to notice when someone has left convo, and I think this is a very basic thing to be added that could be useful. |

Seems to have limited scope. Obviously this wouldn't work in Jita or corporate channels with hundreds of people in them. Private chats already have a pane that shows you who is still in the chat. It's time to put an end to CCP's war on piracy. Fight your own battles and stop asking CCP to do it for you. |

How about a button in top right of the window with the others that turns these on/off so you can have it in corp etc if you want. |

Indeed, I don't think this'll work well in public channels, and originally I thought it would just be for Private Conversations, but I can see how this could also work in custom channels and corp chat, for example.
Being able to enable and disable it in chat options, as Nalha suggested, would be good too.

Hm... This idea makes sense for "private chat" or, maybe adjustable, for other NON public channels. It should be not a big problem to implement this. CCP could probably use the same mechanic as it is with the local chat, when you jump through a gate. I mean:
EVE System > Channel changed to Local : XYZ |

So when you're the only one in the chat via the member chat list....you still talk to yourself? O_O
Wow..lol
Thats almost equivalent to someone walking out of the room and you're still talking to yourself...how do you not noticed someone left? lol
Just asking :) no trolls please |

Its just as easy as continuing to talk on the phone after the person on the other side hangs up or drops the call.
However its a lot easier to try and talk to someone who is no longer in a chat room with several other people like corporation or alliance chat. |

Seems that the functionality has been added in, tabs now show (alone) when the other person has left.
I'll be taking responsibility for this, if you don't mind |
