Last corp I was just booted for inactivity; no harm, just keeping the roster clean. Could rejoin but not sure if I'll have time yet..
Corp before that I left over the billions of ISK I lost in stupid war after stupid war without getting any benefit (other than familiar faces on corp chat) from being a member while we weren't at war.
So now I'm in an npc corp screwing around while I figure out what's next.

Left as the corp wanted 10 mill per month per character for the privilege of playing - and wouldnt let me mine or rat to earn the isk!
But they dont have taxes! - (yeah so how do you make isk of those just using the corps assets? Tax the sheet out of everything so everyone gets hit equally!)
So I refused to pay, made a lame - RL issues excuse and got the hell out of dodge! Now I can actually play the game in the way that I want with the precious time that I do have!

Well, that and a bunch of RL issues. Makes me sad.

I do not think there is any reason to troll you, because of that. Being evil and shooting ppl is all fine. But not honoring ransoms or 1vs1s and so is something quite a lot of people in eve do not respect. Me myself, if I would find any1 in my corp doing one of those things I would instantly kick him.
Having a reputation is surely something corps do want, but not a reputation of not sticking to your word. That is allways bad for business ;).

I've left a couple of corps where I couldn't get into any gangs during my play time; either I was the only one on, or others seemed to be afk or not interested in gangs.
I left my last corp when one of our members dishonored a 1-v-1 and I wasn't happy with how the leadership handled it, though I was already becoming frustrated with lack of corp focus (rather, a series of different focuses, none of them being what I signed on for).

Heh, I wonder what the flipside of this coin is.
People tend to rationalize everything as if it was their choice, when in reality they might've been pushed out because they didn't do anything for their corp themselves.

On topic: My former corporation slowly died when the CEO went inactive because of real life reasons. Parted on good terms, decided that hisec had become too boring, so I opted for the yarr side instead.

i got kicked,
as the most active player in corp (16h a day) the other side of the world thought it was best to kick me as i was never online anymore when i got a job.
after that i got kicked by a friends corp becouse the ceo was a d*ck. after 10 min he had the feeling i wasnt good enough to join a pvp corp.

Lost the will to play EVE. SO returned to my old corp, which offers small varied roaming gangs.
90 man groups, can be considered medium sized roaming gangs.
By whom? That is a fleet by any definition.
