Concord popping unmanned ships during GCC

redBusiness2	Posted - 2008.10.19 23:36:00 - [1] Hey everyone, I'd like your oppinion on this one, petition may take a while. My corp m8 was doing some pvp and got globally flagged. He got to a highsec station, undocked in a shuttle and got popped by Concord. Fair enough. He warped to the POS where he had a bunch of PVP ships parked. Suddenly, Concord arrived and popped EVERY ship he had there. He didn't try to board them. Is that considered normal? I mean, he wasn't even flying the ships? Thanks for oppinions, red
Chainsaw Plankton IDLE GUNS IDLE EMPIRE	Posted - 2008.10.19 23:53:00 - [2] lol, that's interesting actually that does seem like it would be normal mechanics, as concord continues to fire on an unmanned ship to prevent shoot + eject, although in this case it's a bit as to if it is as "intended"

I have accidentally jumped into high sec several times with a combat ready ship, bloody korama.. Anyways did it in a buffer raven and logged off imediatly when i saw the 'kessah you have done a stupid thing' message, after acouple hours logged back on and my raven was still intact... barely, but! what was interesting is i had the insurance payout. Odd thing i thought, obviously id trying burning back the 10km to low sec, to no avail. Kept me thinking though, if id ejected as soon as i came out of warp and had my alt jump in the ship. Could be alittle exploit there for those that can be arsed. BTW if anyone makes any isk of this little discovery of mine, il ofc accept all donations

Lady Karma	Posted - 2008.10.20 01:11:00 - [6] That doesn't sound like "intended feature" at all. Well worth a petition. I have never heard of that before, but maybe the POS was set to fire on aggression, and concord being haxors, shot the ships through the shield in retaliation.

It is a well known among experienced players and is an intentional feature for CONCORD to fire unmanned ships. Killing PoSed ships, while funny, may not have been intentional but Concord shoots ships you aren't flying to avoid ejection exploits. I believe they will not get into the same grid as the PoS in the first place unless they follow you there. There was a couple times I jettisoned 2-300 ships into space a few years ago and got them all concordokkened intentionally just for the fireworks so it isn't anything new. This was pre-combat log so I wound up with 2-300 killmails to delete. So it was some time ago. P.S. redBusiness2	Posted - 2008.10.20 10:05:00 - [10] Ok, update on the situation. The guy got his ships back, but they took the insurance money. Ships are insured again tho :) So it was a happy end but a warning not to approach your unmanned ships under GCC. Thanks everyone red
