Pretty cowardice bunch from what i've seen. But, hey..i've only seen 20 of your members fight.
Hate to break it to you chap, but by being an 'anti-pirate' you are indeed roleplaying. I'm not about to split hairs, but really we're all out to better the organizations we belong to, and we all like to shoot at stuffs with our internet spaceships. LOL
First of all, Einherjar have been a fun, and friendly opponent. I thank them for that. Now, we can squabble about individual engagements. However, the numbers donĘt lie.
WeĘre sitting on around 40 corp members, not factoring into that how many are alts. They are sitting on over 300.
They are winning in sheer kills, while we are winning in efficiency. What this tells me, is Hunters is fighting smart. Losing less expensive ships to kill more expensive ships is tactics, not cowardice.
As for online members, (IĘd have to ask einherjar how many members in their alliance havenĘt been active in over a month? I bet the number is crazy. I have most of their active players in my addy book, and some nights they have just as many, if not less then us online. Being 7.5 times larger then us, that really sucks for them. (And for us at times, as we genuinely thought decking a larger alliance would get us more targets, not less.)
--By the wayąthank you, Draco, for the compliment of seeing Ę20 of our guys fight.ö Considering weĘre only 40, and (gee, if we all had one altąmaybe some noneąmaybe some more then oneą) why, thatĘs most our corp! Now Einherjar on the other handąjudging by their killboardąthe percentages of your own alliance members fighting aint the hottestąjudging by the pos sitting and station sitting we too have witnessed, many arenĘt even shooting roidsą(and those are just the ones that are signing in at allą)--
I think we picked a floater tbh, which makes things challenging at times. ItĘs hard to pinpoint enemy targets, when their alliance seems scattered across the universe, with multiple bases and pockets, and poses in multiple regions.łno truly unified front.
ItĘs hard to impose ourselves into their goalsąas simply stated, they donĘt seem to have any goals for us to disrupt, beyond ōKilling the Pirates that Kill You!ö
However, IĘm impressed with the loyalty that HunterĘs has shown. We defend our own, stick with our own, and trust our own. Perhaps thatĘs another reason we are successful to this pointłteam work is a must, and something that Einherjar needs to work on. They are tickled at a 100mil they ętrickedĘ us out of. But perhaps their leaders should ask about other possible 100mils that exchanged hands that wasnĘt made so public to laugh about. Perhaps Einherjar fleet members should wonder why their leader, and others, would warp away in a fleet engagement in one of their primary ECM ships, leaving the rest of the gang vulnerable. (I will assume that past hints of corp thievery in einherjar corps is just a sick rumor.)
And indeed, Hunters has one thing that many corps and alliance canĘt boast: an excellent FC. Communication is key, and having a top notch FC can make or break any engagement, regardless of numbers and fleet make-up. Einherjar, by their own admissions, has issues with communication during fleets. I find it unfortunate that this is a reoccurring issue, and am sure this lends somewhat to the fact they are losing in efficiency.
At any rate, this war deck is proving to be a fun ride. Some of our goals were achieved much more quickly then we thought they would be.
As for griefing, or not griefing, or fooling around, I will stick to the story that my superiors choose to make public. If I was Einherjar, IĘd be hustling. If a small corp like us could deal more damage then they can backąIĘd have to wonder what a larger corp (or alliance) could do if they got the fancy. As for usąweĘre just the tip of the iceberg babyąand EinherjarąsheĘs riding low in the water atm.

Susan, you are right, when you guys are on, there aren't always many Einherjar people on... That's because many of our players are not in the US timezones. Others ARE in the US, but grow bored waiting for more than one hunter to be logged on - so they are tied up in a mission or a complex when you guys finally log on.
And like you, I KNOW when you guys log on. All of you.
As for deccing an alliance that is 300-ish strong to get lots of PVPers, you guys must not have done much homework, considering we have corps like Aussie Mining and Forging Industries. We are not a primarily combat-centric alliance. If you want an alliance with tons of combat pilots, I'd suggest deccing GoonSwarm or Atlas.
I've got to agree with my alliance-mates. I haven't felt particularly griefed. I've skipped running missions several nights to hunt HUIM folks, as your own killboard will attest. But most nights, as soon as HUIM gets a whiff of an opposing fleet, they flee to amarr and dock up for the night. Not really grief, if you ask me.
So what you are really doing with this war is carrying your standard practice of engaging noobs and haulers from Ami to high sec. That's not going to get you the experience you want... Djabra'il described the one fleet engagement that went well for you. Try actually engaging one of our fleets again. Oh wait, you have. Nice "bright side only" reporting, Djabra'il.
Our PVP players are waiting for you to get tired of engaging the miners/perma-docking. |

Susan,
You keep using the term "grief" but I am curious to what your definition is. I haven't heard any reports of anyone being griefed, nor have I ever seen any of you in low-sec space. The only time i've ever seen that you had a fleet on, we had to chase you into 1.0 space. And, then your entire fleet docked and we sat waiting for 30 minutes, and your whole team logged at the same time.
You speak of loyalty, but where is the courage? Also, you talk about "disruption." I don't exactly want to give away alliance secrets...but let's just say..nobody has noticed.

Could you link the miners people keep saying we agress/kill so much of?
I see 13 Battleships...a couple Recon ships...a command ship kill....a bunch of cruisers and other small tech 1/ tech 2 ships....but...no industrial ships?
Or do ya'll mine in battleships?
I'm not defending any position against not killing miners...but implying we do this as opposed to killing combatants is incorrect information.
As for decking you to get 300 pvpers, I believe my statement was targets...not pvpers. Though, yer miners haven't been out in droves lately... Not sure why, since we're apparently not griefing you that much.

I get on in non-regular hours and when I can there is only a few pilots on per fleet leaving not much of a reason for engagement. When their is one usually it is nice, in either direction. A few of the kills I was involved in the entire was under my command as FC, Something I have never done, until now. I am proud to say that in all of those I was FC I lost only one ship and it was due to "A lack of communication and coordination." On the other hand I have lost ships in one engagement that went well considering, and one that was a very horrible mishap.
Most of the true PvPers in EA are good at what they do. The rest of us are combat pilots out of necessity, due to random wars. I have yet to find my "style" and I appreciate HUIM providing me a way to accomplish that goal.
As for the mentioned "Slugfests" If we really want one of those. Maybe we can arrange a very large blob fest of relatively equal numbers. I am all for prearranged fights. Although not everyone in the alliance is honor bound. There have been cases where someone challenged to a 1v1 refused. I am always up for duels, but I understand the mistrust. Why cant we all just get along and pew pew the good times away?

No need, since all HUIM does is dock up at first sight of trouble and make a few highsec gatecamps to catch our nublet members flying solo to a trade hub.

Quote: No need, since all HUIM does is dock up at first sight of trouble and make a few highsec gatecamps to catch our nublet members flying solo to a trade hub.
being 40 organized vs 300 unorganized means on occasion you will manage to pick an fc and perhaps even get everyone on voice comms long enough to call a primary or yell to jump a gate. as i mentioned in previous posts we were astounded to see we could even take off-timezone fleets and bash them together with you guys toe to toe given the immense gap between our organization's sizes. bottom line: many of us roam solo or in pairs in your home systems looking for kills. having some amount of experience means if that is the case we *usually* know when to dock up or scatter.
on a seperate topic does anyone care to elaborate as to why you all have lost nearly 30 members or approximately 10% of your total member base since the start of this war only 10 short days ago? i mean, surely this couldn't have anything to do with our 'fail attempt' at griefing your carebear alliance right?
there seems to be alot of misconception regarding the comparison of our groups as if we're some sort of uber pvp corp, so 'no wonder we're pwning in statistics...' newsflash, jim: our average pilot is 6m sp. you are literally getting shown the curb by a group of pwnsauce noobs.
lets do some easy reference for those of you with poor or no english comprehension skills (such as mr. nadar):
are we going to take your island of lowsec from you: no.
is our goal to take your island of lowsec from you: no.
have we won every day in efficiency against you: no. (actually the first 24h we were losing)
have we proven to ourselves that we can handle a foe more than 6x our size: yes.
are our fleets consistantly more organized and efficient than yours: yes.
am i going to argue about what the term 'griefing' means with a bunch of carebears: no.
fakerealedit: current campaign efficiency in percent: 74.29
go ahead. rip on me for docking when you finally get 10 in gang.

Good news, Einherjar members! It's time to play expose the informant! After a brief escapade with our eyes in your corp, we've decided to spill our guts and confess our sins, as we're all tired of the pirate life and have the need to cleanse our souls of our purgerous crimes.
Exhibit A:
Quote: 2008.10.22 07:14 Lately we have been losing lot of ships to our wartargets in highsec. Hunters imperiale does highsec gatecamps and some of our members decide to solofly their mission battleships or whatever straight into their arms. Please try to avoid following systems between 22:00 - 07:00 evetime: Tash-murkon prime, Pimebeka, Bhizheba, Amarr.
But, mind you... We aren't griefing you at all... Buuuut waaait, there's moar!
Exhibit B:
Quote: [20:46:23] Cone Basher > here is the mail from sollana [20:46:53] Cone Basher > Baesd on what Rikkus has said, Im gonna say this from my most polite part of my body. [20:47:16] Cone Basher > Those individuals as seen on our Alliance Killboard should either listen to those that know, or not bother playing much more as tbh they are ridiculing the alliance with pointless, ignorant actions. [20:47:27] Cone Basher > None of us like to sit docked up, its a waste of time, go walk the dog, make food, have a **** something else......they will get bored and then leave you alone. [20:47:37] Cone Basher > We have lost WAY too many BIG ships due to stupid decision and no alliance escort requests. [20:47:50] Cone Basher > Its time the alliance pooled its resources and came together to hunt this ****ers, I suggest we all get together tonite or tomorrow between 6pm and 12 pm eve time to discuss policy as otherwise what is the point.
I have changed one or more letters in the above person's name to prevent the masses of eve finding out the name of our guy.
fakedit: Oops, forgot the askterisk's... XD

Edited by: Bronson Hughes on 22/10/2008 21:50:41 o/ @ Susan. How's things?
o7 @ DJLX & Co. Fairly good sports in a war I participated in against them a while back in my previous corp; a little friendly smack here and there, some good fights, and the odd annoying docking games played by both sides. Some good pilots, some total noobs, but aside from their lack of voice comms occasionally messing them up, a competent corp given their carebear population.
The only other thing I can say about DJLX is that you do not want to face off alone against Cone Basher. Ever. He flies a Crow with ruthless skill and I have much respect for him. -------------------- "I am hard pressed on my right; my centre is giving way; situation excellent; I am attacking." - Ferdinand Foch at the Battle of the Marne |

Sup guys, Right.....
Facts are Hunters Imperiale run at first sight of our "True" gangs, and come closer to us when theres hardly any of us online,
Thats not tactics, Thats down right Sly of you guys
Now i havent seen much action except for the first few hours of the war when you jumped into teshkat and or fleet pawned you guys i will openly admit we lost a geddon in that fight but you lost alot more,
Also ive got to ask you guys, please come fight us properly, not run off first sight of our fleet's, thats the only reason you might be winning on efficency piking off the guys that are heading to buy some stuff
Hope to see you guys on the field more often and not docked, its down right boring at the moment,
Anyways fly safe and hopefully cyas all soon

Well as for people running when a "true fleet" turns up.... So what you gotta have battleships and more than 10 guys to have a true fleet? Hmmm I always thought a fleet was a group of ships working towards a similar goal.... Like a fishing fleet for example.

Well, i'll bite my tongue in lieu of good sportsmanship this time. Man what poor timing you have to make a post like that... Literally 15 minutes later your 'true fleet' (cone basher incl) decided to camp us in TMP. Check your killboard to see how well that went for you. XD This time even two scorps didnt save anyone, your FC is lucky he scattered when he did or you would have incurred losses equal to your fleet size. I urge posters like Thranduil to really think about the public relations impact you have on your corp / alliance as everyone slowly realizes your ignorance.
Again for the record: 5 vs 6... We were the 5... 0 losses for HUIM. Next time I hope your whole fleet is in scorps.
