One may blame excitement for Invelious' laconic post - an understandable situation.
The Ezarra system, once lost to Minmatar forces, was reclaimed back to the Light.

The tides of war are much like the tides of the sea: the point where the beach ends and the sea begins is ever changing.
Though God has selected our Fates long before the first volley of laserfire was cast, let this be a resounding victory for our Lord and Empress. Amarr Victor!

Congratulations to the Amarr systems capture team.
You were able to capture system after system dispite Minmatarr Superiority (numerical) and heavy losses. Your dedication to your cause can not be questioned.
We will continue to follow your progress with great interest.

Today God smiled upon us, but there are still many, many battles to be fought.
However, for now, we are proud to humbly offer the liberation of Ezzara to our Empress.
Long may she reign.

My apologies, i was in rush at the time....We turned the tide of Ezzara and made it vulnerable, and conquered the system and insured that the minnie counter fleet that was on the way was crushed. Another victory for amarr....
As for mirrorgods comment...if you don't care shout your mouth.

I must admit, Mr. Cetes, that I find it intensely amusing that this comes so soon after your mockery of PIE's supposed inability to prevent you from locking down a system. Apparently, and unsurprisingly, they had other things to concern them. At least now you seem to have realized that you should have been more concerned with inhibiting their efforts and less with their failure to inhibit yours.
Considering how loud you and yours have been on this subject, I must also admit I'm looking forward to further demonstrations of your efforts' futility.
Congratulations to the Crusade. I was concerned after the recent departure of certain high-profile corporations that your momentum would wane; apparently I needn't have worried. Good hunting.

Being an individual within the leadership of the pirates, I can assure you that we are re-focusing our energies to deal with this fatal blow to our cause. Really, we are.
And by the way, I believe the title of this message should be EZZARA WON. Because Ezzara Lost just makes no sense unless you're foreshadowing.

i must say, with the loss of several powerful corps to pirating, you have put up one powerful force to counter our numbers. i salute you, because unlike you, i consider you a human equal. i also consider you my mortal enemy.
you may have won ezzara, but kourmonen will be a much more difficult target. we will hold it and once our ranks have improved, you shall feel our revenge for your hatred.

As a neutral observer of the conflict, I must admit I was rather puzzled by you mentioning this as a fatal blow to your cause. There is no pirate occupancy status and judging from recent communications broadcasted by high ranking members of your pirate coalition, I deemed your standings towards Minmatar to be just as hostile as towards the Empire. Anyway - if you regard the Amarr reclaiming a systems occupancy status as a fatal blow to your cause, one wonders what your cause actually is.
To be quite honest, I consider MG's (deleted) statement to be much more in line with what I would call a coherent pirate policy.
I agree on the criticism concerning the title of this broadcast though.

Edited by: Alica Wildfire on 21/10/2008 12:24:35 The lost of freedom for Ezzara was clearly a shock. And even more while we could do nothing but try to get a rescue fleet up but were not able even to enter the system with a decent fleet.
It's not about our losses. It's not about a lost fight. We are used to fight with small ships against heavy ones, with green pilots against veterans, with the brave of the determined against the evil spirit of the organized.
It's about the people. I sat in my Rifter and I admit - I cried. Tears flowing down my cheeks when I saw the oncoming fleet of slavefreighters and the usual orbital bombardement of Ezzara I and II, where most of the Mitar Rebells were living since we freed them from the grasp of the Evil Empire.
All those people dead now, enslaved, deported and put into inhuman workingcamps down in the heart of this empire. This hurts my Mitar heart.
So what we fight for is not gain of territory, is not gain of money, it's just freedom for our people. And the freedom we were fighting for had just got a boost of will. Seeing what it means to let the Amarr take a system is what makes us fighting until all shall be free again. All of the Mitar people that survive the hard weeks to come during the Amarr oppucation.
Without some of the most trained pilots in our ranks that were coming from the pirate factions - those other than the Python Cartel that are disturbing offensive our operations - it will be hard for us to get a conter working. I do not expect a sudden swing of fortune from the situation we have now. Mitar is with it's back to the walls, but so we fight best. I hope there is something left to fight for, when the tides are changing again.
This battle is lost but the war will be to win. For us there is no alternative: Fight or Die by the hands of Amarr slavers. -- FREEDOM, PUNK & AUTOCANNONS

It was done the amarr way, slow, with dedication and purpose.
Despite the recent turmoil we remained calm, trusting our faith and God to guide us.

As of 12th October, a major operation called "Pozitie Comanda III" was set in motion by Vigilia Valeria Expedictionary Forces (VFOR) under the command and tactical guidance of VFOR's Marshal Gangleri.
This operation, specificly intended to recouver Ezzara solar system as a chocke point between the front lines, was largely suported by all Amarr Militia forces and ended up in the re-capture of the system yesterday.
We were briefed with the following command message:
Originally by: VFOR Marshal Gangleri Hail Brothers and Sisters,
From tomorrow on ĉOperation Pozitie Comanda IIIĈ will run with major operations on (...). The focus is on executing the current standing orders. ĉOperation Pozitie Comanda IIIĈ has the following goals set in order of priority:
1. The solar system Ezzara must be conquered û this is highest priority. 2. Enemy movement through (...) must be heavily disrupted. 3. The solar systems Arzad, Tararan, Tzvi, Silifar, Oyeman and Raa must be kept uncontested. 4. Keeping the rest of Devoid and Bleak Lands region on low contested levels.
Fleet commanders decide fleet composition based upon (...) and will switch in between based upon the goal and situation at hand. The current fleet doctrines will be used when specific tasks are in order.
ĉOperation Pozitie Comanda IIIĈ will be performed every day from coming Sunday October 12th (...). The operations will start daily at (...).
Significant and sensible information was cut off due to security measures.
We strongly believe this will mark a turning point where effectivly, the republic will need to focus on defensive moves, and we will follow on the offensive.
We thank all who joined and shared our goals on this operation, and praise VFOR and Marshal Gangleri for his efforts and success.
HAIL AMARR!!!

Those that have left will be sorely missed, not for lack of pilots, but for their comraderie and skill. We have become more efficient as a militia now and can easily abosrb the loss of pilots.
The interesting repercussion of the Pirate corporations returning to low-sec with such fanfare has been to draw the eye of other anti-pirate elements within the Empire, who, though they may not be committed directly to the Faction wars, will continue to be anti-pirate and hunt them where they hunt.
And, apparently, even with the influx of hostile elements, we are still able to do our duty and move the flag of the Empire ever forward.
The Empire may be slow to start, but once roused, we are very difficult to stop...

The history of Amarr is full of victories, and this one will be added in due time...time which is on The Empire's side.
I will not laugh now as hubris only brings folly. Instead, I will save my laughter for when the tale of the Crusade's victory is writ upon stone, when I can laugh last... |
