Alot of people will see this post as pointless, but this is a breif summary of why I feel that CCP have stuffed up a great game...
Yesterday I came to the decision that I no longer wish to play EVE. I felt I was paying good money to play a game in which none of the users ideas were being implemented and that you needed the experience in order to do anything, or know some one experienced for that matter.
I originally started EVE because I had never really played a Sci-Fi mmorpg...It was really good. Over the past coming weeks the game has started to become less persuasive for me to play. Thats because of Castor, the worst Idea that I think possibly culd have been brought up. The missile changes stuffed everything up. I was wanting to start PvP majorly after growing with a mining char. After reading that dev blog, there was just no point in me bothering. The system just screws up from there.
I realise for this post I will get alot of stick, but no-one gets anywhere without speaking there mind.
If I see any decent changes in the up and coming year, I may be persuaded to come back, along with severel other members of the EVE community...
I thank the game developers for the good times up until now, and hope that they could possibly sort out what is the worst patch they could have released for EVE online...
I also thank all the players for making this game so memorable...

Ya - i think eve should be a custom-tailored game...specifically suited to what you want. In fact, the devs should solicit our permission before doing any updates, patches, improvements ect.

Sad to see a player go because of dissent. But please, this patch was not Castor, this was patch 1549. Castor was back in winter...

Umm u do realise without CCP there would be no EVE , that being said how can a game be stuffed up and great at the same time ?
I think this is cloaser to what u want to say
"CCP did not listen to me and are taking EVE in thier own direction, thus becuase the game is not exactly the way I want it I'm quitting"
and unless 5000 people all drop their accounts as well I think your own your own
Is it really that hard for people to say, I played EVE had a good time but its headed in a direction that I am not going to enjoy as much thus I am leaving. Instead of these speels about how CCP are stuffing up EVE, eh how bout it ?

Give the guy a break, he's well within his rights to say why he leaves the game. If that is the way he feels, then so be it.
I hope you will come back when the patches are fixed, and all is well again, Manith.

Yeh I know what you mean about the patches. The missiles were nerfed but they were still uber after the guns went pants. CCP always do this I just go play something else until they get it working again.
A lot of people do this, problem is some don't come back. I must admit I can't think of a reason to log on at the moment.
You can always come back when Shiva is out just for a look.

Playing onliners means rolling with the punches...and patches
Nerfs are a part of Live games, if you're leaving cos of one patch taking the game in a direction you don't like....then no matter what anyone says thats ur decision.
Saying that, making quitting threads that ***** about a game your leaving seem somewhat pointless. Posting to let all the people you've lost contact with but want to inform about your quitting i get...but it was your time wasted and ours wasted replying
