Isn't this good time to make this long waited move? Remove local (don't show player which are silent) in local chat for 0.0 systems - this will make eve MORE interesting, with great benefit for pvpers (more fun) and CCP (big isk sink)... My suggestions: -ppl are visible on local chat only for those that were at local when someone spoke -ppl are remembered on local even if they leave system - let's say only 'time of last message' matters... -disable notifications login/login out of ppl in address book! first of all it's bugged (very often doesn't show logouts) and it is used as cheap intel...
Make EVE more fun for all! I dream of time when when I engage other party I don't know how many are of them - and they don't know how many there are of us... this simple changes would change way eve is played totally - at least for ppl that are here for fun... is CCP ready for such change?
ps. IMHO local for low sec and carebears space (>0.4) shouldn't be changed... so if You want to play 'safe', go live in empire space...

I agree, what is the point of black ops and covert cynos if the second you pop into the system everyone knows you are there.
As someone who was much brainer than me said, Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.
But in Eve this size is meaningless, you can as easily find a ship in the next grid as you can find one half the solar system away.
So, nerf 0.0 local, I wanna kill Hulks with my black ops boatie.

What about a special new module that turns on a kind of complete radio silence effect. People won't be able to see you in local, but all your chat tabs cannot be used either.
Hehe, just a thought :)

I'm not writing this cause some1 afked in cloak in my system... not because I want easy kills... I want to see more fun: -when someone enters system - I instantly know about him... even if he loged in recon ship (which can cloak few seconds after login) -example fight: I have 10ppl in gang, scout reported 4 ppl in nearby system, let's get them... we send 5 ppl, fight starts... few enemy recons decloaks, its 7 vs 5 (us), so we send 3 more, 7 vs 8 (us)... maybe they will bring more? maybe we have more ships?
My other ideas: -scanner should show difference between active (boarded, player inside) and inactive ships (at pos, left in space) -when You are in same grid and see someone (entering system by gate, loging in, at pos) he should appear in local chat - like he just said something - this would make posting ppl on intel channels easier

LOL whats wrong can't get any kills ????????
If this was done nobody would rat and the carebear tears would come flooding
Tbh i think its a stuiped idea.
It would actullaly forced a lot of people back to empire nobody would rat or mine in any low/null sec.
It would destroy eve for many people and force massive blobs.
People would actually leave and no one would give you there stuff cause they hated you.

tbh, i would wanna force more people back into empire. 0.0 is supposed to be a big risk, instead carebears just fit cloaks and hide when someone shows up in local.

Can it also turn off Teamspeak and MSN Messenger? Otherwise, there's a small flaw in that plan. --------------- ""Minimum collateral damage" and "Entire star system" do not belong in the same sentence." |
