Greetings to you all!
I bet all of you are at least mildly annoyed by thos ISK seller spams. Ibviously even besides it is illegal, it seems to be a booming bussiness because you can hardly enter some systems or certain channels without getting spammed into the next space age and here is the interesting part. People are stipid to buy ISK. I mean stupid beyond reason.
Why you aks? Think about it. One month timecode cost 13 dollars or Euros and goes for 400-700 Million ISK. You can sell them without even the slightest risk by using the secure system CCP installed.
So why by all the stars do people actually buy 400 Million for a hundred dollars or even 50 dollars for that matter and risk phishing attempts or mossuse of their credit card information or whatever. I mean come on! Are people really that stupid?
Why do ISK sellers still exists if their offer is so terrible beyond reason? I mean you overpay by 150-250% if you buy ISK instead of selling a timecode.
What do you think?

I don't but I am thinking of paying for my account with ISK in the future.
edit: Ok I just looked into the market forum and I see what you are getting at. Prices for timecodes dropped drastically. My bad. So the ISK seller are only off by 50-100% with their offers. Still, their offer is quite bad.

Even if they were 25 dollars per month (for me it is 14 Euros) than the average offer of 400 Million for 100+ dollars is still really bad.
Lets say it is 18 dollars which equals 36 dollars for a two month timecode. They sell for 550 Million right now which is a ration of roughly 15,3 Million per dollar. The average ISK seller offers 400-500 Million for 100 dollars. Lets take the average 450 Million which results in a ration of 4,5 Million per dollar. That is almost thrice as much. How on earth can ISK sellers stay in bussiness?

I don`t know were you got your numbers from but last spam I got was 5bil for 103 euros and yes, it is annoying and I stopped petitioning them cos its useless as they return in no time with a new created character and I dont want to waste my max. petition slots for things that dont get fixed by CCP.

Every spam petition I sent was done in about the next minute or two.
You are putting them in the proper categories, right (rules&policies->isk spammers)?

Not that I buy isk. I just did a little research. Average right now for the gold selling websites is like 800m isk for $20USD.
And GTCs are sitting 500-600m. For $26.95USD.
So it's still skewed, but not by a whole lot. |

What!!!!!!!11!!11!!11!!!!? ISK sellers have hacked PayPal. Omgz will they not stop at anything.
I would be more worried that a GM will reverse the transaction and you wull be left with a big negative balance. |

Sir, a GTC is not 13 USD, its $34.99 for 60D GTC wich its = 400-550m
In most ISK websites (Check google) $42USD = 1.5b

And was nullified in about one minute after that, when the spammer came back with yet another new disposable account.
