Believing in the existance of a god is most certainly faith. It's one of the definitions of the word.
Do you really not see the distinction? If you believe in human rights, you "believe" in a set of values, a moral code. Not something that actually exists in any realm, whether physical or spiritual. If you believe in a god on the other hand, you believe in a supernatural being, who according to you does exist in one form or another.

Another aspect where belief in god and "belief" in human rights are different, so another reason you should not have grouped them together.
You guys are just playing semantics. "Belief" and "faith" CAN mean exactly the same thing by some definitions, or not by others. Words just aren't that bleeding precise.
People "believe" in god in the respect that they believe he exists, as an actual something, somewhere out there.
People "believe" in human rights in the respect that they think it is best that a certain set of moral principles should be followed.
Although the word is the same, the context makes it's meaning completely different. |

Planets are flat, timespace is just warped so the appear to be spherical.
You can only see so far in any one direction because reality is generated for you on the spot, it would take too much processing to generate things further than ~10 miles out. |
