Celebrating five years in Eve!
It seems like yesterday that I formed Eve Defence Force with the intention of fighting Pirates in Empire. Not that the corp was ever intended to be a short term project for me, on the contrary, there's nothing in Eve I'd rather be doing, but never in my wildest dreams did I think we'd go through so many changes. From Pirate hunters in Empire, to joining an Alliance fighting the (old Alliance called) Pirate Coalition, to becoming Empire builders in ASCN and launching Eve's first ever Amarr Outpost before going on to launch a second one and conquer a third and then finally transforming into the PvP Corporation you see before you today which has achieved over twenty thousand kills.
And I won't pretend it's not been a bumpy ride. There's been times when I thought nothing could stop us but there's also been dark times where I thought we'd not see our next birthday. Throughout this there's been some constants. Those constants are the long term members who've stuck with me through thick and thin; those pilots that joined and gave their all during their service with us, some of whom have sadly since left Eve; those friends I've made in the game who've supported us in our actions and helped us when we've needed help; enemies who've flamed me and the corp for the last few years, fueling my determination to turn us into the small but successful outfit we are today.
To all of you who've been in Eve Defence Force over the years, to all of you presently in Eve Defence Force and to all of you who in the many Corps and Alliances we've flown both alongside and against, thank you for helping us reach a landmark only a handful of corporations in Eve ever have or will ever reach.

Congratulations John for creating and running a corp that has been around for 5 years. Love us or loath us, you have to respect that it takes a lot to keep a corp running for 5 years in Eve.
