If you are using an Nvidia video card and any of their recent drivers, that is more than likely your problem. CCP has decided that they don't want to, or more likely, don't know how to resolve this issue, and has laid the task of resolving it upon the manufacturer, in future driver updates. To resolve this, you have to roll back to an older version of your drivers, however, in my experience, the performance with the older drivers is vastly degraded.
I just keep the newer drivers on my PC and ignore the billboard.

This problem has been about since NVidia went to build 56.64 (march 15th 2004). The only solution that works is to Roll back your Video driver to version 53.04. This error turns up on all NVidia cards This driver also cures Minmater stations not rendering properly.
another Alternative is to try the Omega drivers Customised Drivers which you might find a little faster Still go for the 53.04 Version

I'm pretty convinced this is a CCP problem. Several weeks ago for a couple hours, the billboards worked and then went back to their transparent state. This was all during the *same* gameplay session.
Of course I think there are other more serious bugs I'd rather CCP focus on than this one ;)

so other than the driver degrade there is no solution for this yet? and if it does affect all nvidia gpu's i would suspect about half of the players to have this problem...

im sure there are a large number of people who have this nvidia problem mysel fincluded, mimitar stations and concord billboards are broke but i would rather ccp focus on object graphics humping ships especially in belts and gates or fixing tranquility, adding content, but when you get around to it please fix this graphics bug __________________________________________________

Edited by: Hedrigall on 04/07/2004 00:49:40 Edited by: Hedrigall on 04/07/2004 00:47:54 i downgraded my drivers and it works (for the stations and billboards that is)
but whenever i'm docked in a station i can't see my ship or rotate the camera, is this another known bug? and is there a solution?
but i agree there are things that have more priority than this
edit: oops posted this with my alt

Nicholas Marshal, This is not a CCP problem.
nVidia drivers have decided not to render that image, there is no way to force them to unless nVidia update the drivers to do it.
Use older drivers to fix the problem.
