After speaking with some of the CSM members on skype CCP has 2 big things in plan for Worm holes
1. Controlling Economy
2. Combat Mechanics
Here is what CCP is planning for the corresponding points
1) Blue loot NPC buy orders will be elminated from the game. They suggest you get rid of they now ASAP just like datacores.
2) CCP will introduce Wormhole stabilizerswhich will allow SuperCAPS to jump threw into W-SPACE and back ignoring the mass effects while the stabilizer ships field is working. The stabilizerwill affect both sides of the wormhole. Once turned of the wormhole will collapse as normal ignoring the time it was in range of the module while it was on.
