Probably has, but It seems we need a change of pace from the people who just can't let Mittani Gate go... So, Post up your rigs.... what do you play on? Any compatibility issues with your setup and EVE? Give us some fixes. Or just brag that your computer is uber leet to the max or what not. I have come to the realization that my computer has to be one of the worst setups in EVE. I honestly don't know how my computer runs the game... Let alone dual box when I do... -XP Pro -Pentium 4 -2 gig DDR PC3200 -Radeon HD 4600 series <--- DONT GET THIS PIECE OF **** IF YOU NEED TO DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN BROWSE THE INTERNET as It hardly can load 720 videos. - 2x displays 1366x768 and 1280x1024 My GPU memory speed is horrendous... its embarrassing... Its over clocked and still under 1ghz.. It has 1G on the card and still runs out of ram b/c its so slow.. The most common reason I have to reboot is because my video card shuts off. I will be in fleet talking to corp-members and my monitors go black. Game still running, still talking to corp members... "Ahh crap, card died again, gotta re-boot brb..." I used to overclock and be all hobbyist and ** before I got into Vespas, and now that I have a wife with a kid on the way I really don't give a ** about how fast the computer is, only that it does what I want it to do. EVE runs pretty well on modest settings at 1920 wide. "Fun fact: carebears are not necessary for the game to function." --áTippia

The launcher likes to have the Wine DLL overrides set one way and the ExeFile.exe likes them another way, so you have to set up separate profiles in Wine to do it. Then there's also another set of things that needs to be done to get the ATI drivers to work (I am not 100% sure of what since I use NVidia card) but I think it is Ravow who posted a lot of details on that in the Linux forum. Basically I can do everything in Linux as I could do in Windows (except for CQ which crashes immediately on entering), albeit at a reduced frame rate. I have yet to try changing to "performance" CPU governor through "cpufrequtils" (as described in the performance tweak thread in the Linux forum). When AMD bought ATI, they stopped supporting older ATI cards. This was the main issue with my laptop. AMD has not made an ATI Mobility driver for linux. ...Can't. Tell. If ...Troll? Or Serious.... Absolutely awesome for every game I play. I run a Q6600 Quad Core processor with 8 gigs of DDR3 RAM. Not sure of the speed. My current bottleneck is my HDD. 7200 RPM just isn't enough anymore. I plan to purchase a 60gig SSD for my OS as well as a 250gig SSD for games in the future. Ill stick to using a 7200 RPM 1.5TB drive for storage. I use the Hierarchy Chart from Tom's Hardware for video card comparisons. They are pretty solid when it comes to PC hardware. They have them now to where the estimated lifetime of the drive is far longer than any human being can live but the price for the drives is still well over $1 per gig.
