I just checked the CSM Candidate page and I noticed how smooth and shiny all the portraits were..
Better resolution and less jpg compression, can't we have that on the forums aswell?
Wierd thing though, they don't look as good when you direct link the images though, check Ankhesentapemkah for example..

Yeah but the forums use these..
Also, the 256x256 ones seems to have been reduced to 128x128 with HTML which means the browser resizes them so that's probably why they look so smooth..

Just noticed, it's my browser (Opera) that sharpens the image when they reduce the size..
Comparison Image, IE7 on the left and Opera on the right.
CCP, you should implement the same code on your character-portrait server! 
And change the portrait sizes to 128x128.

A guy I knew many ages ago who played female characters said that if you had to stare at an avatar for hours on end, it might as well be a decent looking female one
That aside, Ankh is an RL female really. She tried to run for CSM last time around, I think, and had a video to prove it =P
