Philopoemen Locke Low Sec Liberators	Posted - 2008.10.26 07:30:00 - [1] Warning verbose post hey, I was a eve player for a little over 2 years. I have done the empire mission running thing, the 0.0 alliance game and finally decided to be a low sec pirate. The last time i played though was probably say 4-6 months ago. I tried other games and whatever but nothing stuck, and while I understand this community will flame me like a well cut steak, what I need is a reason to get back into the game. I really enjoyed commanding small gangs and solo pvp, although admittedly I suck hard at the solo pvp. The main reasons I left were the general repetitive nature of things when i was signed on (aka gate camp here or hurry up and wait ind of stuff) or just not having many people to play with. This is in part my fault due to the fact that I am an American playing with mostly Europeans, and partly because a lot of old timers I played with have left the game. So what in essense I am asking for, outside the rant/***** I just gave, is a reason to come back. When I left factional warfare was just released and there was talk of another nano nerf coming on. After giving a brief glance at the forums there is some talk of t3 becoming real. Now mind you before you scream noob or whiner or whatver you will at me, what im looking for is a reason to come back not to quit. I have scammed, been scammed, been, corp theived from, been in fleet battles, commanded and been in small gangs, soloed despite always seeming to bee poor at it, and done all matter of pve to keep my pvp financed. If your asking "why the hell is this in crime and punishment instead of eve general" its because I would like to be a pirate again and also because c&p tends to be a little more measured in its responses. Also because I don't give a care about pve, I would rather hear about how the pvp is and CAOD is a cesspool. TLDR: I used to kinda be OK at eve but I took a break/quit, everything else sucks and I want to rejoin have thngs gotten better for small gangs/solo. (Flame on because i might just suck)

Several good corps exist in low sec, 0.0, empire wars, just about any kind of PvP you can imagine. Now I'm back fulltime and rejoining the ranks of Corps and Alliances (after running solo for a long while). Find something that interests you. For me, it was the politics of corp and alliance involvment, And my new project. I'm leading a PVP Academy that teaches Industrialists how to defend themselves with small gang/solo tactics, tapping into my past char's history of Solo/Gang Piracy and Alliance Fleet battles both. It's gotten a lot of interest, and I truly look forward to it. I'm also recruiting Experienced PVPers for my core membership. Feel free to EVEmail me if you want to look it up. :)

(Flame on because i might just suck) Phil, I flew with you in DEATH'S LEGION under another unnamed character. Good times with the kinky sex mags and ridiculous all night gate camps. Although, pirating where we used to pirate is pretty much dead as far as I can tell. Why come back? Erm. I dunno. EVE is EVE, but now with less lag. They fixed Jita and some nullsec fleet fights. Upcoming speed patch means catching more people on the gates. Hopefully you kept your training up.
