Does anyone know a online store that would sell Pontiac car paint? Ive tried several dealers and they all either dont have the color or blow me off all togeather. |

edit: and boo on pontiac, the most impossible cars to work on.

Try this.
My Cousin got some from this page for a Dodge Charger with perfect match result. Yes, he's a Dukes of Hazard fan

Do you realise what you have done! DO YOU!
TBH i would be lucky if that happened every time I went to a car dealer!
EDIT: Multiple typos of epic proportions

Then go to a pontiac dealership?
Either way - you only need the exact same colour if you are getting a body panel painted.
If you are getting the whole car done you can just choose another colour.
Also, unless painting cars is what you do for a living, bring the car to a professional shop to get the procedure done. EW Guide - Music Downloader - My Music |

1. I DID go to a pontiac dealership and was promptly blown off because I didnt buy the car there. Went in, gave them the info and so forth. "Well, we dont have that color in stock, call back in a day or so and we should have it." Next day: "Oh sorry, we didnt even call it in, sence its the weekend we wont be able to untill monday."
2. Its only for touch up's, just a few scratches here and there that id like to get before applying wax to the car for the year.
Color is Metalic Indigo Blue with a clear coat finish if anyone can recomend a site or store or whatever that sells touch up tubes. -------------------------------- To borrow a phrase:

What year is the Pontiac? is it a 1970s Pontiac or one of those gaudy modern things?
Oh and uh.. just sand her down, full respray. If you love the car that much, a touch up will just look *******s even if you get a perfect match. What with paint fading and all.
$2000 or so for a full respray last time I checked, but i think thats chassis only. So you'd have to gut it yourself. |

05 sunfire. Its not like someone took a set of keys to it but its just normal wear and tear namely on the hood panel so its not like I need to have the thing completely redone. -------------------------------- To borrow a phrase:

Yes you do. Painting car parts doesn't really work that way. Not if you want it to look decent in the long run. Your paint dims with sunlight, the touchup paint won't most likely be exactly the same colour due to that and there are other factors involved.
But hey, it's your car. |

To be honest im not going to shell out 2 grand to have a body shop redo the paint job on my car for a measyly sc**** caused by a pebble. Id much rather have a slight color varriation for every little scratch then a 2 grand bill. |

Edited by: Rhatar Khurin on 27/10/2008 20:01:47 Well here in the UK, practically all major car related shops will have a paint matching machine thingy, you take in a sample of the colour and they mix it. |
