to give you some kind of a battle report.
NC did what they can do best.
First they rotated, then they blobbed.
They jumped in something like 120 caps or so (maybe some1 can give a detailed answer)
They also bridged in some supoort i believe. maybe they came through the gate.
Everything was ordered to warp to the cyno.
Shrike also warped to teh cyno and "fired" the DD which got off shortly before he got killed. (which was about 20 mil later or so)
friendly carriers couldnt rep him up fast enough to withstand the sieged dreads plus teh rest of the enemy fleet.
since shrike died, the fight is going on at the 15w gate. Targets are called again and again since a few hrs now.
Overall teh server is behaving strange, after the titanloss. RoF on turrets is increased like hell. no chance to get real dmg on the called primaries.
In the meantime the nc managed to jump in even more caps.
No clue what the outcome will be. But i¦m looking forward to Shrike¦s new titan which he is boarding right now i think ^^ |

Just a status update.
The node is apparently still up. I finally crashed as we were cleaning up the last of the BOB fleet still engaged in system, and now all I can see on my black screen of login is the "Entering Game" screen and the occasional pop up indicating a BOB pilot is self-destructing his capsule.
Also confirming that Shrikes titan went down, my Rohk was buried in his side like a tick throughout the fight. I can also confirm that he DD'ed just before death, which took me down to half structure. A little too close for my taste.
This has been a laggy, but incredible fight. Congrats to CCP for not letting the node crash. Last time I saw the local count it was a bit over 700 in local. And kudo's to Shrike and the rest of GBC for an epic battle.
Hopefully I'll be able to log back in before its all over.

Gratz MM and friends for killing a ship just about any PvP pilot in eve would give their implants to be on the killmail of.
Kudos to Shrike for using his Titan as intended, and not letting previous losses discourage him from doing what he does.

At the time that Shrike died - roughly 450-500 in local, the number has fluctuated between 650 and 500 since then. Lag is "very bad" but the node hasn't crashed and things do happen - I've been able to warp out and back a few times, though I haven't actually loaded the grid in the past 40 minutes.. (drones deployed, assisting, and they aggro so I guess I'm still doing stuff)

I still dont know why the little brainiacs in this forum always forget about the fact that everyone blobs everyone and everyone whines for being outgunned, even if there are similar gangs.
Most of us are respecting the other side of this confilct and thats how it should be.
Shrike is down and i like it, i dont care if he's boarding another titan right now, its much more than "we still have another one".

It was a great fight and I loved seeing the Titan go down.
Unfortunately disconnecting half an hour after that appears to have been a fatal blow for me as it is impossible to log back in.
CCP please stop investing in ambulation it's a completely unnecessary project. while some of us are stuck here listening to our comrades on teemspeak destroy enemy MS. and not being able to log on due to no fault of our own

curious why you warp fact with your rather ******ed version of fiction... the m-o deal was a completely different scenario. yes we got ****d but yes there were 5/6 node crashes? and yes, bob loaded first and yes handed our rears to us on a plate. CCP admitted it was thier fault for trying new technology and gave us ships back. but guess what?? so far no node drops, lag was horribad at start but got and is still getting better and we are still fighting. so rather than sit on the sidelines and beat your own meat on behalf of someone else who's fighting with honor, get in a ship come down here and show some real nuts.... or maybe you an alt of one of the wrecks i've just checked out?

Hi first of all very good work
But something I have to say to that post. Ambulation is currently the most important project. It will help to get far more people in the game than anything else. Eve is a brilliant game, but not interesting for normal role players currently. I got a good friend of mine in the game and after several days he was near quitting. I told him what is possible in the later gameplay and he stayed, now he¦s playing more hours than me a day. Eve looks like a very complicated simulation, but not like an normal RPG. Getting more people in makes ccp able to invest in much better hardware and improve the performance. Synergie Effects :-)

Yeah, that's because it's you and you're mostly on the forums. The most succesfull titan in this campaign so far by far is IG and most of it has been in systems with no or hostile SOV. |

it wasnt a drive by DD by the way. Shrike warped into the gate at dd range, 210KM from the gate. He sat there cloaked for about 40 mins. We seen where he cloaked. Put a cov ops close to him. Dropped a cyno and everyone jumping in within range decloaked him. Bubbles up and tackled on. Titan went down. Rest of the fight went on for almost 4 hours from the actual cyno in. Near the end BoB ordered all capitals to log off. Otherwise would have got alot more kills.

Shrike warped at the gate and got probed and scouted just before he cloaked. He didn't go for drive-by, he got ambushed and killed. No heroics of any sort involved by Shrike, he was just too overconfident to stay cloaked on the gate.
Oh and gbc logged their caps off in the middle of the fight to avoid utter slaughter. Very heroic gesture. NC supercaps stayed and fought last time they were outnumbered. GBC you got served. I wonder if you will have the guts to show respect for those who won.
Pandemic Legion was there with caps as well. It seems they enjoyed the fight too.

Can Cyvok come out and play now? I mean if memory serves me right he lost 1 not in combat and this bobit lost 2 in combat? Plus this whole MAX damage MAX whatever and you log off your capitals? For some a valid tactic I can understand not everyone is as rich as you. But don't bring it then leave when you yourself consider yourselves better than everyone else. Now you just look awful. You can keep going with this great campaign and marching down flexing your internet power because you were something and you did do something great but really your just like everyone else but with bigger egos.

Funny you say this but i remember a few weeks back when your whole fleet died inside of a pos shields, and you happened to be the only one left alive looting wrecks? still nice to see that you do the same **** from alliance to alliance

quick report from PL point of view
We got word of shrike being tackled and going down and went there as support. We didnt jump in though since more numbers wouldnt have helped and we didnt wanna risk node crashes etc.
once we arrived in taisy we jumped to m-o and then e-0 engaging targets as we went. The load times for the systems were pretty low (note that this was after shrike had died). Lag was strange and even though it was still completely possible to fly around and warp in and out with very little lag module lag was acting up and gun ROF was being very strange.
Then pl went to join the cap fight and first started on support before switching to caps. A nyx was slowly downed as well as a number of dreads. Pl then moved to bring in their own caps but as our cap fleet got near BOB began to logoff to escape the fight. We quickly moved to try and kill off some logged off hostiles and managed to down a few more of the caps before heading home.
All in all was a good night and the strange time lag was quite relaxing.

The capfight after the Titankill was also won by us (NC).
We killed like (unconfirmed) 10 Dreadnoughts, 3 Carriers and at least 1 Mothership. Losses on NC side: 1 Dreadnought

I never had any difficulties in redirecting or locking targets. This lag worked in mysterious ways. Good if you were an interceptor or target caller checking ship damage. Bad if you actually wanted to shoot things |

While I'm generally of the opinion that logofski is a pretty lame thing to do, I can't say I BoB for logging when they did. You have your own capitals popping left and right, yet due to weird lag you can't take down a single primary after 45min of "shooting." You can stay on the field to preserve your e-honour (and lose your entire capfleet), or you can logoff and fight another day. It's not as if BoB all log'd the minute they saw they were outnumbered; they stuck around for quite a while (and were unable to accomplish anything due to the weird lag)
My theory is that StacklessIO does nothing but reduce ROF/drone launch rate, etc. CCP figured that if a gun only fired once every 10 minutes, it would reduce the lag. And hey, it worked!

Incorrect? Well, before I'd agree with your conclusion, I'd want to see a slightly large sample size. A lot of the dread pilots I've talked to reported really weird lag for gun activations. According to Sir Pink Hat, all it takes is good strategy to kill caps and lose none (granted.. we did lose a couple).

Lag was bad but the same effects was being felt by everyone. At one point 3 out of my 4 weapons were lag jammed. Lag was not the deciding factor in this battle. |

Doesnt 1,2m hitpoints take like 1-2 minutes to remove by dread gang? 50 rr battleships can kill (unhardened) around 2mil HP/minute, so around 0,5m/minute hardened (to 75%). 50rr battleships deal less damage than 10 sieged dreads.
Also we had similiar thing that was reported earlier in ZLZ - guns activated once per 2 miuntes or so enabling caracals to passive shieldtank single ships... |

ROF was very low due to lag. But it was very low for everyone...I went 20 minutes at one point without firing. At all.
So yes it wasn't the way it was supposed to be, but it isn't like there was different circumstances for us than there were for them. Actually they would have had what you would consider the traditional advantage, since we jumped into them. They had preloaded grids, drones etc. I'm hoping personally that these server improvements CCP speaks about isn't vaporware. I think every PvP pilot has experienced the situation of being blackscreened on jump in, only to relog to find that he has the insurance value of his ship in his wallet and is now in the nearest clone bay. No battle should ever be fought that way. Fortunately that was not common for us this time, and the lag was pretty much even handed to all sides, but none of us should have to be put into this kind of situation. The best solution is one where stuff works the way it is supposed to; maybe I'll actually see that one day. Probably unlikely though. |

It just seems to be some kind of weird bug. Dunno if its connected with changing node to reinforced while people are on it or something coz it happened only 2 times as far as i know (ZLZ and now E-O). But it would be good if CCP could nail it. |

one of the best corp names I have ever seen was 'Isle' an acronym for 'Increasing Success by Lowering Expectations' And you have just demonstrated how that fits you perfectly.
No one battle is going to dictate the progress of this war, especially by a couple of supercap kills... but we are obviously celebrating a nicely taken scalp. And bottom line is we had 40+ of their caps still in system when the loggoffski's started so it could have been bad... REAL bad for the GBC if they had remained on the field.
Maybe it's just my old age and slightly addled memory but wasn't the whole premis of the max damage campaign about steamm rollering the north, not taking stations/systems etc, just to kill anything and everything in it's path? The GBC holding sov in m-o since the initial stackless IO debacle and e-o after an alarm clock op 3 weeks ago is hardly steam rollering or something worth getting all 'hands in the pants' excited about imho... but hey, just me and my personal preferences.

3 of the NC capitals logged once they figured out they were primary and managed to disappear when they hit low armor...
and yeah, lag sucked. When I first entered system I activated all defensive mods and a rep. the rep showed green but didn't once activate judging by my cap being at 99% for most of the fight, and yet when the whole NC support fleet landed right on top of me and started locking me up, including a few people firing a volley, I managed to immediately warp out. I tried activating my other rep at one point during the fight, it didn't activate either. My favorite is when my fighters actually started to do damage to a target, they would get a volley off, put it to 3/4 armor or something, then it would hang there and I would watch as their shields would slowly rise. 10 minutes later another volley down to half armor and then shields slowly rise... the lag works in mysterious ways

You right about one thing, your memory is not helping you anymore, as you forgot NC lost Deklein, Pure Blind to GBC and Vale of the Silent to TRI in the last 3-4 months. Here is something to help you remember:

You are right, unfortunatly for you that same change has happened several times before. Everytime the result is; sneaky russians attack bob in south, bob goes home, nc smashes all bob friends in the north, nc goes south and loses, russians retreat a little, bob goes back north, rinse and repeat, yada yada..
Christ its almost getting repetitive. While nc and bob are fighting the russians are busy amassing more moons and space than either super-alliance has ever controlled, maybe next year will be different but i doubt it :) |

tut tut... i forgot you have to spell these things out slowly and in big letters for some of you guys. My point was that SINCE the m-o debacle which was how long ago? and SINCE the alarm clock OP in e-o 3 weeks ago no steam rollering has occurred. In fact we've been bloodying GBC noses quite nicely for a few weeks now. We know a knockout punch hasn't been delivered by either side, and as always the large lady is still relatively quiet but hey :) it's fun aint it?

Unfortunately, You'll probably have to wait for the "CCP authorized Killboard stats" since a lot of the killmails never generated under the "there is no lag" environment. Looking at the BoB killboard, they seem to acknowledge the loss of a Titan and atleast one MS - though I have heard confidant reports of 3 MS's down. The truth? A lot of ships went PoP and it was nonstop lag/fighting for 4+ hours. Shrike apparently DD'd during the final minutes of his battle - and though I was about 30km away from him, I didn't take any damage and my sentries didn't die... (though I was forced to relog when my client became unresponsive for 30 minutes after Shrike had been declared dead but I still saw him at 50% structure)..
Too bad Drones don't give log entries when they do damage to enemies.. I'd gladly go through the logs and add up the damage I did to Shrike - just to see.

The real pain here is to the morale.
While lag reports indicate there were issues, ccp's new upgrades seeem to have paved the way for a more level playing field.
Will the bob pets continue to x up their cap fleets if they keep losing them ?
Maybe they can survive losing multiple conventional ships, but I'm not so sure about the caps.
In any case the pets don't really count, we all know that, they are mere meatsheilds and are happy with that becuase they feel they wont be made primary, sitting next to SFSneakonurTs.
It's the bob morale that took the head shot here and I have been told how quiet their alliance chat and ts goes when they get buttmonkeyed...

Was great fight, lag was insaine and like most people no damage was being shown, no idea what ships died or survived took me 30 mins to log in when i heard shrike was tackled and by the time i got in, he was down and the fight was still on it lasted for hours.

I fly a Nyx now?!
And I crashed out ages before the battle stopped.
Tried to log in for about 15 minutes, then gave up.
Tried again when i heard the server was getting better, gave up after 20 minutes.
And *******s to shooting me after which I suddenly disappeared, I logged on with full armor/shield/hull and cap. I should've had shield damage at least when I logged back in if any of that was true. :)

The people I've flown with have quit, joined bob, joined PL, joined Goons, joined G00dfellas, joined Tri, joined Iron, and have gone all over. Yes, some are still in the same corps, but not many.
Now, you have to also remember how many new people who have joined the game. I'm not fighting the same people, I'm fighting SOME of the same people.
So in not so much words, wtf are you talking about, what is this ominious thing I need to get over, and what is happening next year?

This had to be said. NC is winning vast majority of fights and only fights BOB won were M-O lag fight (where all NC ships got reimbursed) and E-O alarm clock op that was not really a fight since there were no opposinng forces. Oh and some low sec industrial poses got taken out in a system with 66 moons.
Rest of the time gbc looses about 100 ships per try to get in NC station systems and KD ration is about 7:1 in favour of NC. Maybe a bit more now after Titan got whacked.
Also about 20-30 gbc ships killed per day in low sec by some razor guys pirating their hearts out. I heard also double doomsdays by TRI help gbc kd ratio a lot.
All in all gbc is wining left and right as we can see.

Actually, my favorite logoffski was ferrel in an Apoc yesterday. After having him scrammed and webbed by us for an hour, and my guns only shooting 4 salvos in that whole time, I finally slowboated 120km to within drone range. Got my drones on him and well... unfortunately his client seemed to crash at that point.
Too bad. I'm sure he was just there for the Epic Fights. Shame his client crashed on him.

NC did what they can do best.
First they rotated, then they blobbed.
They jumped in something like 120 caps or so (maybe some1 can give a detailed answer)
They also bridged in some supoort i believe. maybe they came through the gate.
Everything was ordered to warp to the cyno.
Shrike also warped to teh cyno and "fired" the DD which got off shortly before he got killed. (which was about 20 mil later or so)
friendly carriers couldnt rep him up fast enough to withstand the sieged dreads plus teh rest of the enemy fleet.
since shrike died, the fight is going on at the 15w gate. Targets are called again and again since a few hrs now.
Overall teh server is behaving strange, after the titanloss. RoF on turrets is increased like hell. no chance to get real dmg on the called primaries.
In the meantime the nc managed to jump in even more caps.
No clue what the outcome will be. But i¦m looking forward to Shrike¦s new titan which he is boarding right now i think ^^
Hopefully NC will jump in more often now but i dont think they¦ll do, tbh

This is not totally accurate...they didn't log out their entire fleet. They logged out 2 supercapitals which were tackled at the time. I believe they might have done a third but not sure. As for the rest of their capital group, I'm not sure if they did, or did not. I was quite busy at the time killing the ones who did not (and I respect those players).

They are masters of CTRL+Q, ****cages won't help much.
3 of the NC capitals logged once they figured out they were primary and managed to disappear when they hit low armor...
and yeah, lag sucked. When I first entered system I activated all defensive mods and a rep. the rep showed green but didn't once activate judging by my cap being at 99% for most of the fight, and yet when the whole NC support fleet landed right on top of me and started locking me up, including a few people firing a volley, I managed to immediately warp out. I tried activating my other rep at one point during the fight, it didn't activate either. My favorite is when my fighters actually started to do damage to a target, they would get a volley off, put it to 3/4 armor or something, then it would hang there and I would watch as their shields would slowly rise. 10 minutes later another volley down to half armor and then shields slowly rise... the lag works in mysterious ways
but hey, I survived
But, due to picking the wrong side, you didn't get to salvage the battlefield at the end.

Lag ate the killmail, so someone in BOB butchered up a new one, it made me lol. :)
GF and I am sure this will not be the last Supercap to die in tribute, the plan is to wipe both sides cap fleets out and have a less laggy eve with no fighters and stuffs. :)
