Since I started margin trading in EVE i have longed for something that would help me find nice trades faster. I found EVE-Central.com but was disappointed that it didn't lend to my style of (lazy) trading, but what they did offer was a live feed of user uploads which i could massage as i saw fit.
Enter http://www.EveData.org! Currently offering a margin search over the EVE-Central data to find items with low buy orders and high sell orders. I also just finished adding a simple character margin report to show your progress all designed to work with the in game browser.
I have plans to add other features and would like suggestions on what would help you with your trades. Let me know if this helps at all or what else you would like to see. :)

very cool :) a few features that would be nice:
* suggested trade route items between any 2 of the top hubs * margin searches sorted or weighted by highest sell vol:buy vol ratio
nice job!

I actually ported a PHP pathfinding script i found and started building a cache of secure and insecure numbers of jumps between systems. I had planned to work on something for the hauling traders out there so it will be in the works.
As to the by volume, i added a Profit per Hour feature to the Margin search. That should be a more effective method.

Edited by: Mrs Pwnage on 04/11/2008 03:40:29 Just added: a haul finder which will sort local deals by profit per jump. Also broke the profit report into 24 hour and 7 day reports. Fixed a few bugs too.
I also figured out how to estimate buy and sell volume separately unlike the eve market.

Working on a few new features. A new report which will detail what you sold and what the current margin is at the hub of your choice. Added a lottery instead of just accepting donations so there is a bit more incentive to help the site.
For those of you apprehensive about joining I have included a screen shot of one of the reports you get access too.
The report below is a 7 day margin profit report, it details how much was made on each item during the period, the mean profit per item and estimate profit per hour. They are also sortable by these three field. The actual item description is a link so you can quickly access the item on the market with the in game browser. I have already found it highly useful and I hope you do too.

Edited by: MeltyMelt on 09/11/2008 03:24:12 I just added another powerful tool to the site; a BPO Profit estimator which will take all BP's known, calculate the production cost if you were to buy all the materials in the station, and state the profit if you were to sell either directly to a buy order or long term with sell orders. Also lists estimated volume a day, so you know you are not wasting your time.
Let me know how this works out or if you have suggestions to improve on the tools. :)

Fixed many bugs and added a lot of new features to the existing tools. The buy and sell volumes are much more accuarate so you can get a good feel for what would actually sell. Also just added is a new Asset Worth tool which can show what is worth melting or just selling; great for mission runners!

Very useful and simple to use. I take it you're planning on including many more systems
Keep it up - nice work.
