Perhaps one good outcome of stackless python is fleet battles are becoming more playable, with the result that there are some serious cap losses going down now.
My guess is we will see some long overdue bloodletting of capital ships, and perhaps the blob will self-correct as lag slowly works its way out of eve.
With stackless python working, FC are able to commit more and more cap ships without crashing the node, and now with some titan losses today, who can speculate where it will end?
What now becomes the top strategy when lagging a node doesn't work?

It's not only Stackless Python, it's the "Need for Speed" initiative, StacklessIO, Eve64 and all the efforts to reduce lag in Eve. ----

Dont you understand lag will always exist. No matter what they change, it will still be they bring 100 we bring 150. |

On a technical note, I've always found Stackless to be very cool stuff (as a Python developer/contributor myself).

E-O actually _FORGOT_ to call, which resulted in lack of playability. |

Blob will never go away, at least not until there are game mechanics put in place that make blobs no longer be the best solution to the given problem. Sure there are some titan losses, but bear in mind theyre getting so common its inevitable that one will occasionally die, blob or not. _________________ [IMAGE REMOVED] -- aka Cpt Bogus -- Is that my torped sig cloaking your base?

Eve has been using stackless python since the dragon patch some two years ago, when they also introduced the bloodlines ;) |
