Bellum Eternus Gallente Death of Virtue	Posted - 2008.10.27 01:39:00 - [1] Just wanted to say 'Good Fight' to Veldspar School of Piracy and Armed Robbery for bringing a nice clean fight with no smack, even if it did end up being 7 on 1. The breakdown: my buddy starts yelling on vent that a Nighthawk and Raven are about to jump into low sec, so I scramble to log in and get over to the gate. As I undock and warp, the Nighthawk jumps in. I think I'm too late. I get to the gate, and the Nighthawk is there. Do I tackle the Nighthawk or wait for the Raven to jump in? A bird in the hand and all that... The Nighthawk warps off and the Raven jumps in. I wait for it to uncloak (full 30 seconds lol) and get it tackled and engage it with my Hype. The Nighthawk warps back in and engages me as well. So now it's my Hype vs. their T2 Torp Raven and super passive tanked Nighthawk. I pull out every trick in the book to secure a kill: overheating, I pop my Ogre IIs out and sacrifice them to the sentry guns for that last little bit of DPS, and consume an Exile booster to help my quickly failing tank. I overload my lows and highs, trying to squeeze every last bit of DPS I can out of my guns. The Raven finally drops! But now I've actually burned out one of my blasters and I don't have anywhere near the DPS to kill that dang Nighthawk and it's crazy passive tank. I quickly warp back to the station and grab the only other blaster ship I have on hand: my Kronos. I'm frustrated at the time it takes to switch ships and undock, warping back as fast as I can. I keep eyeing local, expecting the Nighthawk pilot to jump out. He doesn't. Either he has some balls and is supremely confident, or... He has more friends on the way. I get the Nighthawk tackled and start wailing on it with my Kronos. The gate guns start tearing my ship apart again, getting my shields down and putting me into armor. My cap is now below 50% and turns out they were just waiting for the gate guns to soften me up a bit. In jumps a neut Dominix, followed by a Thorax and Crow. Crow? Oh crap. That's really not cool. I switch targets to the Domi, finally get it killed with only seconds to spare on my cap/tank. I paste the Thorax and then start to align out... The Nighthawk has been blasting me the entire time and follows me as the Crow keeps me tackled, I'm in structure and almost dead, my armor rep barely keeping me alive... and in jumps TWO DRAKES. Leon vanUber	Posted - 2008.10.27 04:36:00 - [11] Edited by: Leon vanUber on 27/10/2008 04:41:42 so you have sentries and a crow on you and you launch your 5 warrior 2 under sentries to kill the crow, fraps cuts out. you come out of warp to a station you didnt align to in the next scene with another ammo loaded and your 5 warriors in your bay, while the image overlaying your chat window also hides the clock? but at least its some kronos footage, so im not gonna complain.

So w/e. i didnt call you a liar and i dont see any reason to delete my post at all. i just described what i saw in your vid without any accusations. you getting all defensive and pulling the 'make you own vid or youre not allowed to comment' card and even demanding that i delete my post is enough information to draw conclusions from. a simple statement on why you chose to not show how you escaped would have been sufficiant. i dont care enough about you that i would convo anyone ingame and ask them what happend to their internet spaceship, no matter what epic videos you already released. i like your videos and ive still got them on my hard drive. i was looking forward to more kronos footage of you after you released the last short video of it in action. i was just disappointed that the most interesting part of the vid, your escape, isnt included. so i asked for the reason in a rather provocant way and got the defensive overreaction i was expecting but not hoping for.

Why I didn't show it: I had to turn fraps OFF, because the file size was 4+GB and my framerate was almost zero. The lag from the smartbomb footage is evidence of this. If you had asked in a less antagonistic way, maybe I wouldn't be so defensive. And TBH, I've never skipped footage like that, that is so critical, but I REALLY like my Kronos alive and didn't want to lose it to lag or CTD right then. And regardless of what you think you said or didn't say, it's what other people perceive about your post that counts. I had 10 convos within 15 minutes saying 'hey man, some jerk is basically accusing you of editing out the use of a Falcon in your vid'. Otherwise I would have just left it probably. PS: a simple sentence like 'i turned off fraps to get some more fps' in your video would have prevented the upcoming of a discussion like this in the first place, as the question why the climatic moment of your video was missing would have come up sooner or later anyway. It's nothing personal. I just want your stuff, and more importantly the fun of the fight.
