And bland? I think the old alliances had cool logos that were consistent with the game 'feel'.

The goon logo looks like something you'd find on the side of a WWII plane, thus, it's ******* awesome.
All the logo's in your 'good' pile look like something a game developer made to match the art style of the game and they all scream 'role player'. |

To be honest our logo blows because whoever submitted it did so with a white background. Most likely because it was submitted as a .jpg instead of a .png because .jpgs don't support transparencies so it defaults to the hideous white background that we have now. |

Some images are more awesome as others and some are harder to explain (to roleplayers) with ingame lore but otherwise I think taste is subjective.
Of course the Ushra'Khan logo is awesome but how can you call the Vera Cruz logo decent? It Looks like a car logo or something from star trek. Bees and dinosaurs are not as cool as a bee the size of a dinosaur or a dinosaur bee. |

He points to a few odd/nonsensical logos and says they don't make any sense in the game, but the second largest NPC Pirate faction uses an ugly, toothless, stylized Skull with bunny ears for a logo because one of the original two guys who founded it used the nickname 'Rabbit' at some point.
Eve corporations don't need concrete reasons to make logos that make sense. They are run by a bunch of sociopathic space immortals with serious impulse control problems. |
