soo i have seen some treads and a dev saying that if he gets green light we will have it.
soooo why haven't we heard anything yet from the people who need to give the green light?. if they have some valid explanation why haven't we gotten it yet? untill now i have seen nothing negative as impact or effect off a skill queu, since ghost training is gone, again why did it take them 5 year+ to do something as obviously needed as this? ccp needs to think about the little things before they throw themself out in something big and leave the rest behind ^^ |

I sure am glad that I had a long skill queued, so that when my character finished training 3 hours ago I didn't end up losing 3 hours of training due to CCP's network outage.

no, you won't have any skill queue before quantum rise, because CCP is working on the graphic part of the game mostly, since they want to deploy ambulation. |

i don't follow you?
well here it is: i am studying, 6-8 hours then working 6 hours, then home =12-14 hours + 6-7 hours sleep = 18-21 hours= giving me 3-6 hours for myself to fun and other things in a normal day (not accounting weekends or day off).
so generally it is more then annoying that all the 5-10 hours skills is as good as impossible for me to learn within a decend timeframe, and why?! well no reason other then badly designed mechanics and i must assume to **** people off that have a life beside eve (or just don't have the time because of irl stuff to log in every 6 hours :/)
so that's my problem and it have been a problem from day one, so why the hell have they used this long fixing the issue :/ |

well actually i only came back since i couldn't find much info on the actual issues i heard was althoring and wanted to check out if they fixed some of the small thing as well (they hadn't) and i will be leaving for a while again, and comming back if they get it fixed :P but still annoying that they don't have the competence to see that it is actually very importent that the basic is well working before the advanced is taking care off |

your not really listening are you? it is more then annoying to have to wait for 3 days for a skill that could be done in half a day if they just had a queu. exspecially since it seems like the only reason not to have this is to annoy people. it have no other reason, there is no drawback, only gain by having such a function :/ |

I was agreeing with you. Obviously my sarcasm flew over your head, out the window, and is currently migrating back to Alaska.
The reason CCP hasn't added a queue isn't a technical one, it's a business/possible abuse/we suck issue. |

hehehe, okey :P
well yer, i have been poking quite a lot for it before and the only real understandeble reason for not doing it was ghost training, well that is gone and one of the devs already said he would gladly implement it IFF he got the "GO" from the people "upstairs" sooo now i am kind of poking on them, on why they haven't done anything about it, all they need to do is say "yer but a X-days queu in" and we atleast have something :P just 24 hours would work miracles for some one like me:P ___________________________________________ Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. You forgot the part where your skill ends in an unscheduled downtime. For some reason, none of the people who give "LOL learn 2 skillplan, n00b" advice will point me to the evemon plugin that lets me adjust my schedule to work around these
Maybe you will help me?

beheave little one ;)
as i said before, there is no reason why there isn't a skill queu. i am not stupid and know how to work around it, but it doens't change the fact that it is extremely annoying that a skill i could have done in 8 hours (which means 3 of these skills in one day) takes me 3 days, where i am forced to use the few hours i have to myself by being home to take care of the skill, instead of just setting a queu, and not having the feeling that it is a second "job" that is just a "must do" thing, which is very annoying, i am not staying in a game that annoyes me a lot and with time it is so annoying that you simply stop, and if you stop with a game as eve, then their is quite a chance that you will not be bothered returning if a few month runs by because your loss in sp will just annoy you even futher.
there is so many good reasons for having a skill queu and not one for not having one.
this is my problem, why on earth isn't there a skill queu in the game, when it is only bringing good things into the game (when set in write, even put in wrongly, it is still more good then bad) ___________________________________________ Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. I am not going to lie, this would be a nice feature so take what I say with a grain of salt.
This is coming from someone that has lost over a months worth of training (@1.5-1.75 months) in my first year due to problems on both sides (primarily my side) and not once complained about it anywhere ingame or here on the forums.
Deal with it and if a queu comes it will be icing.

well i have been dealing with it, but if you never complain they will never know how annoying it is, before people at last have so many small things they give up :P |

TBQH I am happy enough with the fact that I do not have to kill a NPC for every SP that I want to gain.
Once again if it ever comes I will not complain if it never comes I will not complain. So I guess I will have you and a few others to thank if it ever gets instituted.
Icing on the cake is icing.

Use EVEMon... plan it around when you are about and playing EVE. Is there a need for a skill queue? No... not at all. |

Dearest Sir I have zero interest in discussing something that has been discussed to death and where EVERYSINGLE Con has been countered. I somewhere (about 2 years ago) did a pro/contra post - explaining specificly why a SQ is needed in Eve. Do a search. Greetings Belmarduk

I would also like to add that while I'm looking at the timing of a skill and I find it may land in a time period where the system is either down or I'm away from the computer I get as close as i can to the end time then switch to another long skill.
Later in the week when I have time I finish out the original skill. Completed 5 level 5's in one day doing this.

Most of the people asking for a skill queue wouldn't really benefit if one was ever implemented correctly.
What we might need in EVE is a way to queue up at least 8 hours of skills, so that its easier to manage short skills. This is especially useful for new players whose time is consumed by switching tons of small short skills. Even the smart ones aren't gaining much by training long skills overnight, as the long skills aren't as beneficial in the short term. I'd even go as far as to say this feature should only be useful in your first month of gameplay, as part of the NPE's effort to focus newbies on learning EVE and not micromanaging their char sheet.
People who expect to be able to queue up two month long skills and go inactive for a longer time are full of wishful thinking.

Well that was the ideology that stopped queuing when ghost training was allowed. Now that you can't ghost train something like this seems more viable as you have to pay regardless. Although nice I don't feel it's really concerning yet.
