I have 2 POS, but they tick at different times, how can I change the tick time of one of them to be close to the tick time of the other.
When setting up a POS which step in the process determines the tick time presumably it is one of the following - onlining started, online complete, anchoring complete, anchoring started |

The "tick" starts when onlining completes, so if you have a pos that ticks at :38 after the hour, you would start the second pos onlining at :08 in the case of a regular large tower.
Even if you do get your poses ticking at the same time, it doesn't usually stay exactly right as the ticks will gradually drift.

Just out of curiousity why would you want to sync up your POS's down to the minute ?
I can't see any advantage to this.
Just fill up your POS's so they all deplete on the same day and hour if need be. Or if they are spread out then fuel according to system.
zxcv system on monday & asdf system on tuesday if you would prefer.

It can be handy for reactions, at least for me. I won't play with my reactors or silos for about 10 minutes before the cycle ticks over. If all my POSes are on the same cycle it makes it easier to remember when I can be toying with the reactions, of course I could always just write it down.
I don't actively try to do that anymore, but I used to. For some reason the tower cycles fall off a little bit, gaining on when the POS cycle is, and now they are all off from the way I wanted it. For example, when one of our POSes was initially setup it's cycle time was at :45 and now (after 6ish months) it's somewhere around :10. I set the next POS up to run on the same cycle a month later at :45. A couple weeks after the other POS ran low on fuel and we got messages and the cycle time was at :49 so they were already off cycle with each other.
If you want to get them on the same cycle you will have to hit the put online button on the tower at the right time as stated above. -Xonox Pulsar Combat Supplies, Director of Production and POS |

I said I wanted the ticks to be close, not exactly the same.
I take stuff out of my simple reactor POS and put it into my complex reactor POS. I do not have any coupling arrays, so having the reactors synchronised would make the job easier. I would have a single 50 minute period to do POS maintenance without getting too close to the tick, which causes me to loose an hours reacting.
I know the tick drifts, mine has lost 40 minutes in 8 months, I was hopeing they would both drift at the same rate, so would stay synchronised to each other |

Yea you'll have to re-online everything again. Everything will still be anchored, but still a pain to re-online everything. -Xonox Pulsar Combat Supplies, Director of Production and POS |

Okay I can see it now, I forgot about reactions.
Time for a suggestion to CCP I guess. Have them put a timer on one of the POS screens. Countdown till project is done would work. One for each item perhaps in the management screan would be good.
That would make your lives easy would it not ?
