Hi all
I'm reasonably new in 0.0 space, and when none of my corp mates are around am toying with rat hunting by myself.
I'm in a Typhoon, so what sized spawns can I realistically hope to take down solo? Is this a silly thing to try?
If people can mention their own experiences and tactics/loadouts they used (whatever the ship) then that would be really helpful.

npc hunting alone is a pieace of cake if u got skills. u just have to bring drones for the frigates. Don't forget about those drones, because those frigates warp jam you and if you cant killem then u cant warp out if things go bad %)

if your tanked up well enough you should be able to handle 2 bs 2 cruiser spawns nicely. i just avoid the frigate + bs spawns if you lag and can't get anything activated its bad news. frigates + any amount of cruisers is cake too. find yourself a nice bs + 2/3 cruiser spawn, keep one of the cruisers alive in hopes of it chaining...

4x 30k Interceptors
That was... errr... interesting  lots of mwding away. Actually had the two 1.5mil's respawn twice as I went for the loot, and finally killed in 35mins later.

I'm in a Scorpion and it's proven easy to take out the 1BS+3Cruiser spawn. I use a tank set-up. Word of advice, don't target jam them rats for to long, they will warp out lol! And yes, never go npc hunting without freshly filled drone bay. You will need them for the ceptors with scramblers.

Yep drones are essential.. I find ogres have PMS or something - they just don't listen to ya commands. Go for wasps.
If your on your own try and get a few roids between you and the BS.. it takes ages to go round and it's missiles just go straight into them.
Took on 2 x 750k and a few frigates at once - although it might be worth holding out against killing the frigates until the Battleships are dead - you don't want the critters to blow up yer drones when they switch targets do ya.

1x6mil BS, 2x750k BS, 2x110k cruiser, 5xinterceptors
i fought 20min and the 2x750k BS, 2x110k cruiser, 5xinterceptors spawnt twice before the 6mil one was dead. toughest fight i ever had but very thrilling

I found this hilarious, my corp mate Woetra solo's any spawn going in his Apoc.....which isnt the good bit yet, here's Turret balancing for you:
He takes on multiple BS (I think two 1 mil and 1 1.5mil, with cruisers and frigs etc is most) spawns using nothing but small blasters. Not a single Large turret.
Balance is cool mmmmkay
So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.

The biggest spawn I've soloed is an Angel Maurauder (50k) and 5 Angel Hijackers (3.5k). It was pretty interesting, fighting the big one while being orbited by 5 'jackers. Luckily, I got in a few perfect hits or else I would have been in trouble. My Omen is tough, but not super tough.

1 Overlord (1 Mill), 2 Lords (750K) and 3 trailers (500K), the trailers dropped a total of 16.5 Million Trit. Thats the biggest spawn I did solo since the new Patch.
lol, didn't pick up all that Trit by myself though. That was more work than it was worth but in 0.0 free Trit can be like mega some times.
