Just a n00b question:
I really dont feel like getting my Warp disrupted or disabled by some lonely gankers after a gate jump (when I fly my 'Sitting Duck' cargo vessel), so I came up with the idea to use some Warp Core stabilizers. Unfortunately these come only with a Warp Disruptor strength of -1 at every Tech level. Good disruptors are with Strength of +2 (AFAIK).
So my questions are, how do these items work against? Is it chance based 50-50 when I use 2 Stabilizers vs. 1 Disruptor? Do I have a higher chance to escape when I fit all available slots with Stabilizers, i.e. 5 vs 1 Disruptor? Do I have a 2nd or more chances to initiate a warp once Im disrupted/disabled, or am I screwed once I get disrupted?
And finally: Is a cloaking device on a cargo vessel a good idea to escape gate campers? -------------------------------------------- <- and htf do I get my char picture shown here? |

1 warp core stab cancels 1 warp disruptor. Nobody uses warp scramblers (+2 strength) because they have such limited range, but that will change after the patch. However, you're likely to run into more than one person on a gate, and heavy interdictors have infinite warp disruption strength. ------

Nothing that can't be solved by more Minmatar nerfs.

If you use a single core stabilizer, you will be able to warp if someone has a single point on you (warp disrupor), but to warp if you have 2 points on you (warp scrambler or 2 disruptors), you need 2 stabilizers. You need 1 stabilizer for each scramble point you wish to negate. As long as you can match the number of points on you with stabilizers, you will always warp out.
Please note: Heavy Interdictors can use a script which gives them infinite warp disruption points, making even a full rack of stabilizers useless if one of them gets a lock on you.
Note 2: In 0.0 you will likely encounter bubble camps at some point, core stabilizers do not negate the effects of the bubble.

As for the OP; You got the answer from the guy posting above me. Posting it anyway, you got the names of the modules here so you can look them up ingame if you want. Warp Scrambler +2p Warp Disruptor +1p Warp Core Stabilizer -1p Warp Disruption Field Generator *infinate* Bubbles, mobile or dropped by dictors *infinate* (Mobile Warp Disrupt / Warp Disrupt Probe)
There's no bubbles in low sec, but Heavy Interdictors can use a focus script with the WDFG and thus put an infinate scramble on you, no WCS will help you there. In 0.0 there's bubbles. HIC's can catch you in highsec as well, if you're in war (or they're incredibly suicidal).

I use Warp Scrambler for their strengt and superior cap usage. Sure Iuse maby 4 or 5 seconds more to get into range, but imho it is worth it (sometimes at least, dpends on where you are and who you are gonna get)
