Has anyone else been having probs since this new patch with massive drain of the cap? while protecting noobs in a 0.7 system and firing at pirates suddenly stuff like 1 shot from my 150mm rail draining a whole 3 caps from my 5 caps in a tristan! then my shield booster which normally takes 1/4 or so of one of the caps needed a whole 3 caps to work! normally i go hunting pirates in 0.1 systems but now i can't even kill 2 0.7 pirates in under 10 minutes!

I think there is some bug, as I noticed that earlier I couldn't fire my second booster as it was complaining there was not enough cap. I had around 150 cap at the time, and the booster only drains 20.

I had the same problem. I ran my survey scanner and it took half of my cap (about 500).
I logged off and back and and have not had the problem since.

AM having the same probs my self, fireing off anything that uses capcitor (i.e. Shield booster, sfterburner, MWD, Warping ) seems to completetly drain my capacitor to empty.
Its frustraeting at first i thought it was bug from being statis webified by a pirate and just wasnmt resetting, but have had the problem keep repeating the last coupleof days.
Hope trhye fix it because if i die from this bug ill be gutted.

Is this happening within 20k of pirates? It's happened to me, and coincides with what looks like a pulse of blue rings toward my ship. I assume that pirates have been fitted with energy leach modules.

It happen to me when I activate a afterburner and/ or uses a laser and/or a shield booster. I travelled 70 au in 3 au jumps amazing how long time it takes......
For me it's usually enough to activate my AB again a couple of times to get it right again. I usually don't use AB anymore.....

I noticed that yesterday when fighting Wreckers. I assumed they were doing cap leech but I was down to 10% capacitor in like 5 seconds (I use projectiles guns only) and had no cap draining device online at that time.
And even if they use such a device I have yet to see which one would fit on a frigate and have such insane leech effect.

had the same thing happening to me after i gained a level in s skill that altered my cap recharge.
suddenly my cap was 60 in stead of the normal 1020. So after restarting a few times and getting to a gate 100 au away (took me 45 mins warping 1 au at the time) i gated to an other system and all was well again

it is not a leech item, as i have had that problem while warping, i made a warp 10.000km and it drained nearly all my cap, and i have 700, somethimes it happens for my MWD also. Even on time i fired my shield booster it drained half of my cap, and also 1/3 of my shield. Usually it goes to normal after docking on a station or restart EVE client.
