Hey Guys, I was wondering the other day. As it looks unlikely (until balance is mint) that we'll ever see a Stock Market in Eve I was wondering whether someone actually went ahead and created/managed one outside the Eve core?
I (and many with me I guess) am very interested in investing large amounts of Isk in prosperous corporations where there is room for growth. But I would like it to be secure and well managed in a professional manner.
Does anyone have any plans on doing this or is it already in existens?

RESx and EGSE are the only ones available at the moment. I don't think either are good for trading however unless you have a deep knowledge on the operation.
It would likely be wiser to read these forums daily and keep an eye out for new offerings rather than attempting to trade old stocks without proper knowledge on their operations, financials and the likes.
RESx is probably the closest to being up-to-date as it lists all dividend history however it doesn't show announcements by CEO and the likes. |

Thanks guys, Yeah I knew about those somewhere in the back of my mind. Has anyone ever though of installing a board of trusted members that can verify/sign some sort of trustworthy seal for corporations well managed and trustworthy enough?
This way investors could get a "Go Ahead" and trust the said corporation before "trying it out" so to speak. This could also be developed into a full scale business idea where said board manage the "Stock Market".
It's a monumental task I know. AND, I think they had it for a few months with the Stock Exchanges that you guys already mentioned.
But has anyone had a "REAL" plan how to execute this?

People have posited it (think that's the word i want, not a typo of posted) and the idea just doesn't work and is too full of holes. In EVE, it'll never work.

EBANK are currently creating a stock exchange for the movement of stocks/bonds between hands, updated real time reporting, financial data, and complete CEO management tools (so all CEO announcements are in one place rather than needing to be searched for).
Having said that, as above we wouldn't go near verifying people as trusted as in the event of a scam the blame moves straight to the people who 'vouched' for the operation.
It's not uncommon for us to offer to secure a corporation that is either well trusted internally or has assets locked down with us but that's about the limit of "vouching".

Interesting indeed!
Now, if CCP could only create a seal, medal, or certificate that can be "given" to corporation for their "Trusted Business Certificate" this would surely be a step in the right direction.
