Just a quick question couldnt find the answer anywhere.
If i have (for example) 12 days on my account and then put a 60 day GTC on does it add to my 12 days or does it cancel those 12 left.
Thank You,
Renz

The 60 day GTC kicks in straight away, meaning you lose 12 days of trial. Unless you have a pressing need to have a non-trial account (want to train a skill restricted to non-trial acct, use contracts, etc.), I'd suggest waiting until your trial is about to expire (I'm assuming you have a trial acct here).
If it's not a trial account, I'm not totally certain, but in the absence of other answers, I'd wait until the last day. I believe it's the same, but don't trust me on that.

For a regular account it will add it to the end of your current time. So no worries about putting in multiple GTCs at once ;) ---- --- --- My views don't represent those of my corporation or alliance. |

I recently extended a trial account using ETC (about 2 months ago) and it added to my time, I lost no trial time

Close but not quite.
The standard 14 day trail works on the same system as GTC's, as such if you activate your account using a GTC you will keep the remaining trial time, if you activate with a credit card you will lose the remaining trial time.
You lose any remaining time whenever you switch from GTC to Credit Card or vis versa.
There are other promotional time offers that run on the Credit Card billing system.
The easy way to check which system you are using is to go into the My Accounts page and follow the link for Subscription Details.
If there is line stating "Remaining Playtime: ???d:??h:??m" then you are on the credit card billing system: your account will be deactivated at the time specified and adding a GTC will drop any remaining time you have.
If there is just a line saying Expires: then you are on the GTC billing system: your account will be deactivated during the downtime after the time shown, adding a GTC will be added to your existing time without losing any.

Edited by: Darkeen on 03/11/2008 22:22:27 Sorry Jethro, but just to clarify:
I am on a CC auto payment. My account still says Remaining Time: xxdays xxhrs, etc.. When the time expired on the weekend (Saturday DT) the CC account was recharged and now it says Remaining time :30 days, etc...
Just a clarification.
To check if its a recurring charge then look at Subscription Status:
Subscription Status: Active Offering: 1 Month EVE Subscription Next Billing Date: xx/xx/xxxx Total Number Of Payments: 999 Expires: yy/yy/yyyy zz:zz:zz Remaining Playtime: 25d:01h:01m
A non-recurring charge (ie once off CC payment) willl not have this line.
Just to help those who dont know this...
Regards,
Jason Brisbane

Yup!
If it says "Next Billing Date:" then you will automaticly be billed again instead of your account being deactivated.
If it says "Will be suspended" then your account will be deactivated at the time specified.
As noted in my earlier post, if you are on the CC Account system your account will be suspended at the specific time shown; if you are on the GTC Account system your account will not be suspended until downtime.

When I added a GTC to my trial, I didn't lose my trial days.

I never knew that CC and GTC were different systems.......even us old hands can learn stuff here.
Thanks for the clarification. ______________________ Isn't it time you learned to fight back? Agony Unleashed Home of the PvP University.
