Nonsense I say! I thought it was quite evident that every member of the forum is an upright citizen of high moral ground. I will hear no more of this heresy! Do you smell what the Lock's cooking? |

This is incorrect. All GMs operate under the same rules and policies.
Sure they all follow the same rules, but you can (and will) get wildly different results depending on who answers your petition.
To pick a public example, the webbing freighters to stop them from warping or cancelling warp was petitioned, and was ruled legitimate at some point prior to being ruled an exploit. |

Patient got to it before I could. I could name numerous other examples, mostly involving massive amounts of bubbles and cans. Sometimes they "cause lag" other times it's a "illegitimate mechanic". Personally I understand that sometimes GM's have to make judgement calls, and one persons call may differ from another's, but it does frustrate the player base sometimes.
In any case, I think I'll save GM Harmonoia's quote and attach it to all my future petitions :P

Same thing for a guy i petitioned a year ago, maybe two. He kept warping in and out, trying to smartbomb a rifter. He was ... in a thrasher.
I thought it was hilarious, but i petitioned him for "avoiding CONCORD" anyway ... ... and the GM said it's all good, this guy keeps losing ships over and over.
GMs may all make decisions abiding the same rules, but the decisions can be different (!), nonetheless. Nobody can tell me that every GM will always come to the same decisions, simply because they are human beings and their logic may differ !
Also, L0ck, i don't believe that this guy was lying, simply because there was no reason to and the whole thread didn't work out like the typical troll-thread.
So ... although GM Harmonia said this is not an exploit, there's no reason to believe that a different GM won't rule otherwise, simply because of that thread i've fallen over some day.
I have no issues with GMs, but there's quite some room for improvement !
The way it works now, it just can't be right...
Edit: btw, the thrasher failed. It still was hilarious to watch, though ! :D Inappropriate signature removed. Spitfire |

Ah yes, the actual issue.
It makes no sense to say it's not an exploit when a single guy keeps shooting everything, WHILE HE'S ACTUALLY NOT AT THE COMPUTER, and there's nothing that can be done about it. Talking about highsec, of course.
Just makes no sense. At all.

in some of the cosmos constellations, there are complexes that are fixed in space.
In one particular complex, each room has only 2 npcs that spawn in it. a battleship and a cruiser. These respawn pretty quickly.
You can see dominixes in most rooms of that particular plex, for most of any given day.
They may be farming isk, or farming sec status for those battleship npcs, and can keep it up all day if needed. The key to enter the plex doesn't get used up on activation either.
doesn't actually interfere with people using that particular complex for the relevant cosmos containers though. |

No idea if he's still there, but i remember a dominix sitting in the second room of the yan jung site, having reppers and drones out. He shot the sentry turrets that keep spawning over and over. He sat there for hours and hours and he also sat there, when i came there on a different day.
He may not interfere, but he's still making ISK while not actually even being at the computer.
It's not the same as mining. There are plenty of roids and a miner can't mine all of them so nobody else gets a piece of the cake.

Yes, I too would like to know where to purchase these non-r*tarded drones. |
