Edited by: AmmoniaisNH3 on 04/11/2008 07:12:41 ab speedtanking the curse in sisi doesn't work, at least against a nighthawk i haven't tested other setups, any ideas? would speedtanking still work against the new cruises/torps? what about regular drake hml's?
i get about 690 m/s with a perma mwd, perma 1 neut

690m/s with a MWD? Did you mean AB?
Speedtanking missiles is difficult now, you can certaintly greatly reduce the damage of cruise/torps but your going to need to have a good tank. Turret boats are nice and easy with TDs though. -=^=- "Someday the world will recognize the genius in my insanity." |

Post-patch command ships are generally going to have an easy time ripping apart t2 cruisers, most just can't offer up enough of a tank and are not agile enough to avoid cruiser sized weaponry. Battleships on the other hand have a difficult time dealing with the t2 cruisers post patch, a curse in particular will easily be able to lock down 1-2 BS and through a mixture of cap war/ewar and slowly kill it. It's rock / paper / scissors.
Speed tanking is pretty much out, it will still be useful to have fast ships for getting in/out of range, but it's not going to effectively mitigate damage anymore. The single heavy neut curse can be used fairly effectively though in support, very long range and enough to shut down the cap of most things smaller than BC in a cycle, and cause a major upset to BCs/BS while being safely out of range and uncatchable.

If you really think that you should be able to solo a NH in a Curse, you're out of your mind.

avoid missile ships like the plague, orbit turret ships at around 30 (get a domination point) i don't know how much the damage reduction to cruises and torps for this is though :\ someone tell me -----------

A curse on tranq wldnt beat a nighthawk anyway, the cap is basically un-used except for speed, and his missiles will eventually get rid of you. So try it on another hsip :) EVE history
