I was fitting items to my ship when I started to wonder, what's stopping me from putting a big old piece of armor plating in a hi slot? Sure, the hi slot is meant to support weaponry and other high powered equipment, but that doesn't mean I should have to use it for that reason. In my head, it's sort of like saying that you have to use all the power outlets in your house for tv's and surround sound systems, but you can't put in any alarm clocks! Or for that matter, you can't put a cabinet in front of said outlets (armor plating).
Does this sort of irk anyone else? Because it's starting to get on my nerves.

Edited by: Raia Mortius on 04/07/2004 01:30:22 nope doesnt bother me. and to stick to your example would mean you trying to plug a can of protective paint into a powerpoint wondering why it wont protect your house against the elements and probably getting electrocuted in the process :D
edit: come to think of it it is prolly best to compare the slots with the powerpoints you need to connect an electric stove (360v ?) , your regular house powerpoint (220v?) and something like the cigarette igniter in your car (9v?)
i doubt that you can easily plug your mobile phone into a 360v powerpoint .. no ?
