That the Eve client is totally incapable of performing a basic check every few seconds to make sure that it is (A) still connected and (B) synced with the server is a joke. That CCP jumps over themselves to point out "Sorry, but our ****ty, totally useless logs don't show anything bad at our end" is no excuse for poor customer service and prehistoric policies. It is amateur, at best.
You are aware that there was a time where CCP did not reimburse you for ****, right?
**** happens, deal with the ship loss. Also, you know precisely **** about how EVE works. If it's so incredibly simple to improve their support system, then move to Iceland and manage it yourself-I'm sure they'd pay an asston for a genius like you running everything.
They're not going to let people cheat the system for free stuff. That's a good thing. A few legit cases getting ignored > Being able to scam free stuff off of CCP with 5 minutes in photoshop.

Polly is pretty right couse each time i send them a petition about ship loss they never give me an answer about what actually happened to my ship.. all their answers are full of "may be","probably" etc. . Once after the fleet battle(around 500 local) i sent them a petition about my ship wasnt able to warp out but still server sent me messages "Warping to..."... well try to activate warp in warp. bet you cant... still game master ignored that fact and told me that "may be" my ship was bumped, not aligned etc. . I asked him can you tell me actually was it bumped or not. His answer was "Unfortunately, there is no way for us to confirm using our logs that your loss was abnormal in any way..." and before it "Besides, our server had no problems around the time of your death." :) Well, ive been playing in EVE for more than a year and ive seen a lot... but this **** is first time happened. It was a heavy interdictor fully passive tanked 170k effective hit points(it was designed for low sec so it had 2 warp dis generators and eccm). I had a lot of time to think about how pity that situation was and i took some screenies so i could send them to GM...

There are plenty of ways to improve CCP's reimbursement methods... However, seeing as reimbursement isn't really a game feature, it's not worth putting man-hours into.
What SHOULD be fixed, in my opinion, is methods to prevent desync in the first place(such as a heartbeat)

I petitioned for implant reimbursement after a similar incident and got the standard ship response. -=-=-
