I heard some rumors that training certain skills to lvl 5 will give you some nice bonuses...
Is there any truth at all behind this?
For example Lvl 5 learning would give you an extra attribute point according to these rumors.

i think you may be...
The only benefit of some skills being trained to lvl 5 otehr than their stated bonuses is that they are the pre-requisites for otehr skills. i.e Electronics Upgrades 5 is needed for Covert Ops skill. ----------- "Remember people: Omber is the biggest evil ever created, DO NOT let it get to you!" Learning 5 can add 1 point to your attribute.
For example, you have learning at 4 and your willpower is at 10. Then you train your learning to 5, your willpower will go up to 11.

Thank you! That was what i was talking about!
I was starting to feel really stupid when nobody but me had heard about it...
Is there any other skills that give bonuses like that when you train them to level 5?

It's not really a bonus. It's just that the UI doesn't display the 8% bonus on your 10 attribute points since it's giving less then a 1 point bonus.
It's there, just not showing up. __________________________________________________

Yeah....what he said. attribs are actually not whole numbers....They can be 12.54 for instance. Attributes truncate in-game....so an attrib of 14.98 will display as 14. But it still functions as 14.98.
There is never any special bonus for training the 5th level of a skill.

Edited by: Der Ewige on 05/07/2004 10:05:42 There is a side effect in the learning skill, that gives it the look of extra bonus to attributes. Learning gives 2% bonus to learn time, in fact it does it with a 1.02 multiplyer to the attributs so on level 4 it would be 1.08 and on level 5 1.1. So the attributs only show natural numbers, that means no decimals and it can happen that when you train learning from 4 to 5 a atribut get rounded up to the next natural number. For the player it seams then that the extra level on learning gave him a whole point in his attribute.

Hello Mr. Super-Teacher, this is a game. Your typing is also wrong, but none really cares as this is no damn grammar-board.
Not everyone speaks English as his first language.
Back to Topic: There is no special bonus for lvl5 - lvl5 is the nerf (at a higher rank than 1 or 2) for veteran players, so newbs can catch up.
