When a fleet is about to warp in a deadspace are or anywhere else then the fleet commander should have the option to add his members in a formation so that they will warp in at the same time and with "style". Plus the fleet commander should be able to assign his members in their place in the fleet from a pannel that he will have when he creates the fleet!
In that way he will be able to place the players with long range turrets(low tracking speed) to sniper the enemy and low range players at the front of the fleet! In that way the battleships from the back will fire from far away and the closer range ships would be in the front and in optimal range to fire off.
However some of you will say that this would require some time to get in position but i say that the commander will simply put you in the place best suited for your skills and the possitioning of your ship will simply take time during the warp sequence.(if you were supposed to wait a battleship to get in position that would be very tiring)

Formations were supposed to be in the upcoming Quantum Rise patch, but they got ditched to a later one (TM) due to technical issues. One can only hope they'll make a comeback.
