Pretty much as said in the title. The latest scam going around involves real estate, specifically "selling" labs the scammer doesn't own.
If a solution is desired, I would say it is to simply display who has lab and factory slots rented. Instead of "Rented," filled slots say, "Rented by Joe's Generic Corporation" or "Rented by someguyinspace123." This makes it possible for players to see if a seller actually own what he says. It also makes it easier for people who want a slot in a specific location to make offers to the current owners.
The negative repercussion is that corps at war would be able to locate each other's research and manufacturing facilities more easily.

This could enact "laws on unintend consequences".
However some sort of interface for the proper transfer of real estate does really need to be in place. "Real Estate" is just as much a commodity as anything else in eve.
And that idea could use a little "official" lovin.

I'd want that too, So I could run around and pod people who are hording lab slots. Or pod people who own their slots legitimately, as to increase my hord of lab slots.

biggest problem will be people camping stations that people may have a research or manufacturing spot at and waiting for them if there at war with them, or people may begin harrassing people who own a slot where they want one until they get them to give it up....

That would be where the social skills come in, to get the supplier to withhold or give out the information.
Warfare is encouraged so I don't see the problem with the rest of the scenario.

What will eliminate the scams is an actual interface for transfering real estate. The topic of this thread is not "Better Warfare Against Property Owners" but "A Suggestion To Eliminate Real Estate Fraud". I'd rather have a solution that cures the problem, and only that problem, instead of one that spawns a whole set of unpalatable consequences.

That's where the GMs come in, if a corporation feels they're being griefed and has no option to resolve the situation through warfare or diplomacy the GM steps in acting as a megacorporation or Concord mediate to settle the score. If he finds the cause to be just he punishes the complaintant and if it is indeed a case of griefing they're punished.
If the link between corporate standings and ability to rent from said corporation is incorporated this punishment would be easy enough to implement, say a corporation is griefing someone to get them to give up their slots, lowering their standings with say Perkone disable them from renting any of their real estate and puts an end to the issue.
I don't see a viable argument for why the renters have to be anonymous without anyone with the right skills being able to get the info on who is renting what. Of course they should have to be skilled in the arts and put in some decent work, the information should not be anything like that of the map.
