I think I know the answer, but anyway:
The Scorpion has no weapon damage bonuses, so its DPS will be poor; however, with those 8 midslots it ought to be able to fit a really mean tank. I had in mind a Drake-style setup; 2x LSE II, 4 hardeners and 2 shield recharger II, plus PDS II/DCU II/2x BCU II in lows, and 3 purger rigs. Highs? Doesn't really matter, but maybe 4 cruise plus 2 artillery, or even 4 HML/2 arty for missions that are light on battleships.
Anyone ever tried a Scorp for missions, and did it work?

OFC it works... Kinda like how a Fiat 500 would work on the F1 circuit. The question is, why bother? It'll be a novelty for like, oh 30 seconds? Worth it?

It works - But not for any real use. A raven can fit a tank with just as much use, and with the dps.
Generally speaking, possible, but not useful. Hence its a very rare sight.

If you want a good tank and dont care much about dps then just use the Drake.

The assumption here is that the extra tank that the scorpion can muster will help.
However a raven can tank a mission just fine and the higher dps will get the incoming dps down more quickly so a stronger tank quickly becomes irrelevant.
I'm sure it COULD work; anything that can dish out about 200 dps can break mission BS tanks and not die while doing so would be sufficient.
