is the any one who knows this explodey mcchum i saw him on my overview when doing a mission first he had an player icon but it was red then i killed some of the rats in the mission then he turned white and btw it was the lvl 3 mission retribution and the rats was angel cartel i hope anyone can give me some info on this guy i didn't get any info when clicking on him in my overview

You don't have to be a total bellend, now, do you? Yes, in this battle between the OP and formatting, formatting lost, but show some civility.
To the OP: it is a bug. Sometimes characters get stuck in the overview. Don't worry about it :D

sounds like a player rather than an npc.
just dont shoot him and youll be fine.

As said it seems to be a relict of an player from before entering the mission. To me it is so common that i don't bother anymore, usually after a jump some player stay on the overview but ain't present anymore.
To clear them create or use a second overview tab and switch once between them, then they disappear

I find a double-click on the overview title bar to collapse it, followed immediately by another double-click to restore it, removes all spurious items in the list.

You can also just minmize your overview and then expand it again.
