I know I do, makes small ships way more powerful.
I don't get all the love for small ships, I can see n00bs being happy about it because it doesn't take much dedicated training. Personally, i think a big badass battleship is much cooler.
This patch makes eve n00bonline in my opinion, boosting those crappy little ships.

But the sad thing is more and more unconsensual pvp is removed from the game.
How is reducing the ability for one side to break away and run a step toward consensual pvp?
Need for scram fits and slower ships reduces the ability to disrupt someone when warping to a belt or a gate.
Gate reapproaching easier with new webs.
Also quantum rise brings some seriously huge stargates which probably drop you like 40km off the center of the gate.
Yes and no. The stargates will hopefully still drop people off roughly 12-17km from the center of the gate, as they do now. While webs reduce speed to a lesser degree, the targets will be slower too. Also they won't be able to use a MWD if you have a 7.5km scram fitted and can get to activation range from them before they hit jumping range.
Who the **** is going to use a 7.5km scram in a small gatecamp? Might as well use nothing at all as your target is just going to warp the **** away as they decloak 12km from the gate and you wont be able to get in range in time to stop him.

The issue was that Eve had devolved so all you needed were nanos for roaming and battleships for large ops.
Dedicated training is for specializing in a specific role. Instead we had required training for general purpose nanos and battleships.

The 9km t2 scram is likely to be used in replacement of a web. So 24km disrupter + 9km scram. A few ceptors placed evenly around a 0.0 gate camp. Now you've got something.
Cool, now i just have to buy 3-5 accounts to do something i used to be able to do solo :)

How can something like this go trough ... ?
Well, if for example five thousand people had voted FOR it, then that would be democracy in action.
failing that, it could just be that CCP know how to make a game better than those 1500 people all of whom, presumably, are suddenly going to find themselves NOT having a 100% gravy and cream PvP experience and are therefore biased.
Games companies are under no obligation whatsoever to listen to their players all the time. Hell, Sega did and look what happened to Sonic Unleashed as a result.
Yeah, and players are under no obligation to keep paying for companies who screw up. Many people just assumed that the patch is good without testing it. Hell, I just assumed they would make a good adjustment and was all for the nano nerf.
Then I went and tested in on SiSi, and realized just how far off the mark they have gone. I'm a missile user, and I feel completely shafted by this patch. An interesting side effect may be many more ECM pilots, as Caldari try and find a way to be effective.
That'd be awesome, having two opposing fleets mixed together both unable to target anything. Future of EVE pvp brah! wooooo so sweet.
