i have an gallante char with a vindicator.
i spend 35 days to skill minmatar bs to lvl 5 for 0% capacitor penalty wen i¦v fitted an mwd.
now i read the patch notes:
The capacitor penalty associated with micro warp drives will now be based on meta level. A standard Tech I MWD will have a capacitor penalty of 25% when equipped while the meta 14 MWD will have a 0% penalty to capacitor status.
wen i fit now an mwd on my vindi with meta lvl 14 for 0% capacitor penalty, i rly wanna know wat happans to the minmatar bs-skill bonus at the vindi and why i spend 35 days to skill it to lvl 5??!
or did i missed something on the patch notes to read?
any ideas lady¦s and gents?

Basically when you fit a MWD you'll end up with more cap than without one.

Just tested it with a Thorax on Sisi (gets the same microwarpdrive cap bonus)
cap without a t2 MWD: 1718
Cap with a t2 MWD: 1856 (8% increase)
Looks like the mwd penalty and ship bonus adds together, i.e. -17% penalty on a t2 mwd +25% on the Thorax hull at level V = 8% (-17 + 25). So yeah a meta 14 0% penalty will give you +25% more cap. With a Tech I MWD you'll get 0% gain/loss (t1 on a Vindi  ) An amusing thing is if you add more and more microwarpdrives your cap keeps increasing. Shame you can't use dual MWD's anymore  .

Does anyone have an x-type mwd and a vindicator on SISI that can verify how this bonus works with said module. In EFT the bonus does NOT work because the MWD has no penalty, and thus instead of getting 25% cap bonus you get nada.

oddly i've just been testign this with thorax, seems that the more isk u spend on ur MWD the better ur cap ends up.
Didnt the old Vindi and Vigilant have the same sorta bonus when they first came out? u got 10% per level to the mwd penalty so with anything lv3 upwards u actually gained cap and then they changed it to the now 5% to cap penalty because of sum whine and overpowered cries.
the only problem with blasters, u need to be up close which also allows then to kill ur mwd with their scrambler, they may now keep the extra cap allowance as u'll have to use ur mids for damps/jammers? who knows i dont do much pvp so i cant really comment too much on that lol

doesnt realy matter, still not enough cap to run 2xLAR, even corex for very long, and god forbid you get hit by a neut

yeah sometimes pvp¦ers get ****ed by patches with crap changes, cause lot of whiner p***ys got to often killed.
i hope one of the coolest and most beautifull ships in eve dont get hurt. |
