Hi,
today i visited a new agent who gave me a Scenario mission (the mission type). He gave me a bookmark 2 jumps away and the order to retrieve 50 prisoners. The objective is to deliver 50 prisoners to my home station.
When i arrived at the bookmark there was nothing there, except of a belt about 500km away. I warped closed to the belt but still nothing happened, not even NPCs there.
I then tried to accomplish my objective by buying the prisoners from the market, but none could be found.
So i am now flying back to decline the mission *shrugs*.
Btw, there is a "Hint" paragraph in the mission decription that tells me that my objectives may change depending on how quickly i arrive at the location. Well, 5 minutes after i accepted the mission was a short server reboot. It might have to do with that.
Anyone else had the same thing?

hmmm, never had a problem with such missions, in fact they tend to be very boring, usually it's like that: you get there, see a bunch of low-end frigates guarding a floatsam, you squash the friggies and get one unit of prisoners from the floatsam, this one unit seems to be the only thing you need to return to your agent, mission solved.
but once i had a problem with a regular mission that there were simply no objects\npcs in the mission spot, petitioned, had the mission cancelled for me. ------------------- :: finite horizon :: killboard ::

Edited by: Garrack on 06/07/2004 15:43:23 I had a mission where all of its objective targets dissappear after a reboot as well. I petitioned CCP and they put all my standings back to normal for me. Thanks CCP! :)
Forgive the terrible sentence structure- I'm tired. :)

Just got the same mission again, same system and same coordinates (i remember the asteroid belt) and of course STILL nothing appeared. And this time there was not server reboot meanwhile.
That will be my first double petition.

Just got a similar mission... "Pirate Prisoner Rescue." In fact, this is the reason I even came to the forum... thanx.

I got this mission 3 times since last patch or something and I didn't really have a problem completing it.
You just have to use your scanner. You will probably see some small rats in the neigbourhood, say 5000 isk ones or something and you will see some floating caskets and conatainers that are guarded by those rats.
So you shoot a few rats, open a few containers/caskets and VOILA there are the prisoners.
Shouldn't take you all that long to complete.

I think usually you have to collect whatever's in the flotsam, but bear in mind that the objectives sometimes changes. So you must open your journal and read info on your active mission (note: you must keep opening it up, as it says your objectives could change).
Sometimes when you reopen it, the objectives tell you that you were a little late, but must take back some Biomass to prove the rats are guilty etc etc.
Something along those lines.
Remember, keep refreshing the active missions info if you're stuck. Regards

* Any non-greedy corps with the BPO doing a more reasonable pricing structure?
* Are you serious? This is eve mate. |

There seems to currently be a problem with some of the scenarios, and I'm looking into it. Seems they vanished into thin air . My guess is they were moved due to a bad location, but it wasn't done properly so your agents keep sending you to the bogus location.
The only current workaround is to find another agent which isn't located at the same place (i.e. doesn't keep sending you to that same scenario).
