I was testing the rocket on singurality after viewing this sentence in the patch note:
"Rocket, assault missile and torpedo javelin missiles will now do -10% less damage but range has been increased by 50%."
But after using javelin rocket i did noticed that the range of javelin rocket on singularity is lower than at present on tranquility.
For example by fitting a rocket luncher on my vengeance on TQ i have the following properties with my skills:
Explosion radius : 40ms Max flight time: 6.00s (double of classic T1 rocket) Max velocity: 4550 ms
ANd on SISI the same javelin rocket on the same ship:
Explosion radius 20m Max flight time: 3.00s Max velocity: 4725 ms
It seems that the range is not increase by 50% but more decrease :(

This often happens when tech geeks refuse to hire technical writer geeks to document their work. Poor descriptions seem to be commonplace in EVE.
The description may be more appropriate if worded this way:
"Rocket, assault missile and torpedo javelin missiles will now do -10% less damage but have only 50% more range (range nerf) then their T1 variant."
It is not an increase over their current TQ range. It is a reduction to only 50% more than a T1 rocket, assault missile or torp.

I guess CCP even themself think of this change like some kind of boost. I mean how can you steal an ammunition 63% range and write in the patchnotes that it gains 50% range? Maybe they just forget what the range before was or whatever

I hope there is just an error because at prensent using javelin rocket is just a way to nerf more my ship velocity...

why giving a rocket bonus to the malediction ??
Have a correct range with javelin rocket could be a solution but at present T2 rockets have no interest exept to nerf the ship capabilities. Who wants a 11km combat range with 3 * 7.5% velocity penalty and possibility to be web and warp scrambled ?

This is indeed ridiculous.
Let's look at a few facts: - According to the module description Rockets are: Not really intended as a primary weapon but rather as a cheap supplementary weapon system. - That said some ships like the Heretic still uses rockets (auxiliary, not really meant as a primary weapon yeah right...) as the primary weapon type and gets silly bonuses to it. - Javelins are designed to give a boost to effective range of the rockets. - Javelins nerf your speed, making you considerably slower to reach your target and nerf speed tanking even further. - Javelins have decreased damage.
So is CCP really saying that it's a good idea to use Javelins to gain a measely 4-5km boost to rocket range while inflicting wrecking damage to your own speed? Comparison: pre-nerf Heretic speed without a full rack of Javelins loaded: 3.8km/s. WITH a full rack ot Javelins: 2.4km/s. I don't get it at all. RIP Javelins.
I didn't realize that Javelin rockets were so overpowered. I guess they know better *sigh*

When I first read that same piece I jumped of joy thinking I could dust off my torps and re-use them on missions. The wording ineed is very misleading.
