To be honest, it is the picture of the Eve-Site about Quantum Rise that just gave me an idea.
There are soo many structures that players can not build. Like the Chapels, Cathedrales and pleasure gardens. Since those wouldnt have any sense but a graphical improvement of the space stations and this would of course not make sense.
But: Why not implement this part of structures for improvements in faction for the corp. Or a step further, maybe the possibility that NPCs start to make the station their home or working place and a possibility for a PC corp to develop some kind of space cities and involve with coproration management skills something like a basic "Sim City in Space" function? To gain more economical power since ppl who live there start work in corp and such? So ship assembly time could be depending on number of NPC employees and make Eve become a more economic world?
I would like to see this in game, but i am sure i oversee a lot of things at that idea, and would like to hear from you about it.

Sounds like it would make a nice addition. But perhaps a little too EVE: Space Tycoon?

It isnt about that it happens soon. It would be an improvement to the world itself since first time ever shares and trade goods would become of sense. Producing things others need not only focused on some stuff in production of modules is what it should be. Also skills of the social line would make the profession of diplomates and politicians and traders become more interesting for a wider range of players.
It surely wouldnt make the game easier but bring more possibilities and would build up a base for a lot of players who havent been interested in Eve so far. Sure nothing that would be like done in a few days, but technically in the range and not too far from the paths Eve is walking on now.
