H20? Aqua? Bihydrogen Oxide? Where's the water?
Ice asteroids? Ice moons? Miraculous on-station processes? Where does EVE's water come from?
Water is an incredibly valuable item in space. Water mining, I would think, by mining Ice 'roids or just having the water component of 'roids availible during the refine process, would be a great way for n00bs to kickstart. If each roid produced a very small amount of water, a patient n00b could hoard it. By the time they were ready to graduate n00bness, they could sell a large quantity of water for a financial boost out of the .8 and up systems.
Just an idea. Even barring that, I'd love to know where the water in EVE is supposed to come from.
I keep a teddy bear in my pod with me. A teddy bear with sharp teeth, massive claws, and a pinache for eating the flesh of podded corpses. I call him "Fuzzy". |

Edited by: Rakoon on 06/07/2004 18:52:04 err... did I miss something?
I was under the impression there were quite a few inhabited worlds in the EVE galaxy, so it would be quite logical to assume they have their own water sources.
On top of that, it seems water is actually quite prevalent in space as latest discoveries here on Earth seem to atest (water in Mars, the Moon, etc.)

Edited by: Gariuys on 06/07/2004 18:30:02 Looks at his stacks of H20. What do you mean where's the water?
Edit:
Quote: Water is one of the basic conditional elements of human survival. Most worlds have this compound in relative short supply and hence must rely on starship freight.
from the ingame market. ~{When evil and strange get together anything is possible}~ A tool is only useless when you don't know how to use it. - ActiveX The grass is always greener on the other side. - JoCool |
