Does any one have the same problem as I do and what can I do to resolve it?
Issue: When I start EVE it shows the loading screen but when it supposed to show the login screen it doesn't show. When clicking the the lower status bar representation of EVE it either minimizes to the statusbar or maximizes to the left upper corner not showing anything.
I have tried to reinstall EVE a couple of times but it doesn't change the issue.
Any ideas?

This is usually a compatibility problem.
Make sure that you are using the latest DirectX (www.windowsupdate.com will provide you with the latest one), the newest driver for your graphic card (or almost the newest one. Nvidia drivers from 53.03 and up works, not sure with the ATI-drivers. The 56.xx Nvidia driver has a little problem with images on the billboards and one of the newer ATI driver has a problem with the hair on some portraits).
Also make sure your soundcard is using the latest drivers and is configured correctly.
The main cause for these problems seems to be solved by checking these 3 things.

Thanks for the help! I had tried these three steps prior to what happened next. My whole system *****ed down and 6 months of company work was lost due to HP's "GENIOUS" system autorecovery along with their "FAST" support.
Anyway, as it seems right now it works just fine after the reinstallation and actually some other programs are working even more stable then before the crash so I guess something good came out of it! (Gotta see something good in everything bad...lol)
Anyway, gotta hit the workload so I may be headed back for work next monday...dang it. Man, guess there won't be that much EVE this week after all... Might have been if the coders at CCP could take a better look at their system core code...need a hand?
Well, I am still happy and life goes on...thanks for the help dude!
