If you are going to put trimarks on the rapier I would put a 1600mm plate and then see what else you can fit after, have a fit I will post later if I remember.

Hughin: 1 LSE may be more degrading than beneficial: especailly considering the rigs, as BS guns will track you easier, and missiles will hit for more. You need a cpl to really get any decent advantage. Try fitting a shield booster. Yes youll cap out, but if you swap the kinetic resist rig to ccc or cap size rig, it wont be too bad (you may have a kinetic hole, but youll probly get hit for less and hence last longer anyway.)
Rapier: Unless your only using the sensor booster due to cpu issues, swap it for a point. Its always nice to have a heavy tackler, especially if your roaming around in recon gangs.
Otherwise those fits look pretty nice :D

Well well put like i said i ahve not tried any of these set ups yet.. and i DID NOT EFT them.. These are just tweaks to what i flew any how. I shall take a look at diffece a SB makes as opposed to a LSEII/Kin I like trimarks on the Rapier due the 1600 will kill the handleing of it...

Well even if u remove a LSE u still have the MWD making u a bigass target. I tried to getting a decent fit with AB on EFT but i wont go over 850m/s

I am sorry to tell you gents, but the dual webs SUCK now. At 60% dual webbing on a target ONLY traveling 4750 m/s (interceptor or fast tackle frig), the new speed while being webbed is about 750 m/s. How can you consider this dead slow? The Huginn and Rapier are now TP recons rather than webbing recons. Webs are now USELESS, whereas warp scrambers are more effective at slowing down a target and dual pointing to boot. Minnie recons are useless, especially the Huginn.

Ummmm.. Im a tad bit lost here U have Hams and 180's MWD and Aux thrusters I looks like a pre QR fitting to me. I thought Hug/Rapiers were ment to dictate range? With that fit u only hitting stuff at maybe 17km with max missle skills. Is there some thing im missing if so please tell me so i can understand how this can work post QR.

Umm something going 750m/s (let say there mwd is on) and TP lets say 50% more sig.. I belive that mean dead inty/AF/Frig. Hug/Rapiers are ment to dectate range and kill smaller ship in gangs. And now in QR they will be even better at it. Due to the fact that now the rigs are free for stuff other then Aux nozzles and speed rigs..U can add Fall orr rigs/rof rigs..Open your eyes and enjoy.

I agree that the huggin and rapier are supposed to be used with distance rather than short range, but that still doesnt change the fact that a ceptor going almost 1km/s will get away whereas before they had to watch where they flew with huggins and rapiers on the field.

Am I the only one that bothers to burst my MWD? Really now MWDs aren't meant to be permarunned except on an interceptor and maybe a few crazy fits for other ships.

How. Lets just say that duel webbed inty is going 1000m/s (likely to be slower), your huginn or rapier will still be goin 1500 - 2500 m/s.
In other words the inty aint goin anywhere.
What is more of an issue is getting tackled up close by an inty/af .. then you gotta let your light drones do the work. |

Yes of course on a 1v1 between a huginn/rapier versus a ceptor, the ceptor should die (as it was in TQ and is in QR). That is why a ceptor will never 1v1 a rapier/huginn.
Gate camp? Ceptor going 1km/s (and that is not to far fetched of a speed) can still move through a gate camp with ease. Whereas before, it was much more difficult (as it should be) with a rapier/huginn.

actually what often happened was inty would overload mwd and zoom/coast out before you could catch him, not sure how that will go after patch
huggin: - I'd say switch out the bcu's for nano's. I know they don't do much after the patch but you'll want them to help you catch those far off tacklers.
rapier: - FIT A DISRUPTOR, I'd say swap the rsd for a disruptor. I used to fly rapier a fair bit and it's cloak makes it great for scouting but you need a disruptor then to be able to hold the enemy down.
aside from that I'd consider swaping the TP for a third web depending on your tastes and how many other webbers you are gonna have. Possibly more lock time sensor boosters (I always used 2).

You won't need a 3rd web if you fit a scram. It deactivates the MWD so the inty will slow even more. If it's not an inty, well then 2 webs will slow down anything more than enough. A double web still seems like a very potent weapon for Rapiers.

People need to realize that the new webs are different, not useless. Previously, you were totally dead if you got webbed (-90% mod wtf) but we have grown so accustomed to it that the whines are deafening. You actually have to use your brain now instead of close in web finito.

Huginn with 2 webs and 2 painters. I don't really see the problem there, was hitting just fine. And why should I fear Inties close up? My Assault missiles will still hit, for nice damage since it's double webbed and double painted, probably even cycling out a MWD when the webs and TP hit. Guess even a cap torp would hit that thing for full damage Real men do it the hard way: fly Minmatar! |
