It makes me a sad panda not to see any threads about the drama in 0OYZ this week.
0OYZ-G is a seven moon system in Feyth, owned by RED.OverLord - the alliance lead by nync comprising of several corps kicked from Red Alliance for reasons beyond the scope of this thread.
Goonswarm towered the 2 free moons in 0OYZ at the weekend and reinforced several RoL POSes. In the process of defending one of these towers killed 30 Stain Empire / RoL capitals at the cost of 30 of our own caps and one of our towers. We were set to be kicked out of the system completely by Sunday night but held on to keep the last tower alive.

Bad luck, GS.
E/RoL came to siege our final POS several hours before the extended downtime, only to find the timer coming out an hour after DT began. The POS would passively regen shield before the server came back up. To top that off, a server crash less than an hour after the siege caused all our incapped POS mods to come back online at full health. Their siege was wasted.

Immediately after the patch downtime, GS formed up to siege 0OYZ with zero hostile resistance. To our surprise, RoL had not only stronted their towers with the expectation they would be reinforced before the extended DT and not changed them, but they had forgotten to re-stront towers we reinforced at the weekend. In the space of an 8 hour op we had purged all but one hostile tower from 0OYZ leaving their final one in reinforced.
In the process GS scooped up over 30 unpiloted ships (mostly BS and T2 cruisers) and over 3bn worth in faction POS modules which were promptly re-anchored to defend our new towers.

Today we formed up a POS defense gang in euro primetime today, expecting a heavy relatilation to retake 0OYZ before sov flipped to us. For a long time nothing happened, with the exception of narrowly missing a bubble on an RoL Avatar logging in at the newly anchored GS tower replacing the one he logged out at. And then we went back to being bored again.
Then the silence was broken by BFM screaming for help. He had looked away from his Wyvern pilot for long enough for this to happen:

This wily member of The Five who had spent all week trolling local had used his GS alt to invite himself into fleet, move to a Squad Lead position and gangwarp our Wyvern to a hostile station. SE and RoL promptly undocked a cap fleet to dispatch it and the mothership went down before we knew what had happened.
