Mine work just fine. They have different type of launchers for different types of ships. Everyone that is complaining about "missiles not working" need to go back and look at the market and your skill sheet and figure out WHICH MISSILE TO USE AGAINST CERTAIN SHIPS.
Blah Blah Blah.
Oh you do have a drone bay. USE IT.

People are still using the pre qr ship fits and have yet to realise that a high skill target painter with top missile skills are now needed instead of a 2 month old mission alt in a raven. Gun users are laughing thier arses off about now I reckon.

well im gonna try the target painter out.. but mabey dive all caldari ships another mid lol : P and drop a low... my active tank atleeast is REALLY mid heavy

1. fly to mission 2. aggro 1 or 2 groups. 3. kite away from remaining groups 4. launch missiles/torps 5. launch drones 6. repeat until mission in done 7. profit.

Hire a newish player to fly around with you whilst running missions in a Bellicose. 1 mill an hour wages should attract a few peeps.

Just log in your 3 Raven pilots, and your tanking Vulture pilot. Missions aren't any different now.

True, I have a lot of SP in gunnery and to get them working at an acceptable level you need to invest that time in the right skills. Max range is the least of your worries.
Does suck a touch as minnie, having split weapons, but painters and webs are our thing and both of these help guns AND turrets.

Totally agree with the OP... I can only think all this complaining on the forums is the usual whine brigade who have found something else to moan about, do they actually use missiles? The worst that has happened to me is that I had to use an extra salvo to kill a frigate. Im in a battleship, shooting a frigate, boo hoo. Drones help.

It's funny, although I occassionally hit a frig sized ship on 10km with tachyons (only with a tracking computer ), I never would assume this to be the norm. I have to rely on my drones to take care of that kind of ships, when I can't snipe them. Now I just realized where all the whine threads come from: until now, missiles didn't really have to deal with that kind of difference. The formulas were all there, but they were not implemented as radically as it is with tracking and turrets. Drakes shooting down frigs, with no need of target painting or anything - no problemo. I admit I have not much first-hand experience with missiles, but this is the impression I got when grouped with caldari ships. It seems the implementation now is more like it's supposed to be. Makes for more diversity in caldari setups, which is IMO not a bad thing.
Then again, I might be all wrong.

You are wrong. Missiles were bad for PVP before. They weren't terrible, but they were pretty bad. They have delayed damage, relatively low DPS, untouchable enemies going fast at any range/angle (i.e. we couldn't maneuver to negate transversal), missile ships shield tank mostly (precious, precious few midslots to devote to anything else).
Get the picture? There used to be a tradeoff. Now it's all one way in the wrong direction.
